| Because of its excellent heat resistance,wearability,aging resistance and chemical resistance,EPDM is widely used in automobile,aerospace,architecture and other fields.This paper mainly studies EPDM preparation technology and properties.Firstly,by investigating the effects of various kinds and number of fillers on EPDM vulcanization process,mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties,it concludes that when the sulfur(S)filling is 0.5,the carbon black(CB)filling is 35,the silica filling is 10 and the CB particle size is N330,the comprehensive performance of the EPDM is the best.With dynamic strain scanning of EPDM rubber compound,this paper analyzes effects of filler network and vulcanized cross-linking network on EPDM properties and the morphology of EPDM tensile fracture scanning electron microscopy while investigates the EPDM viscoelastic properties.By deducing on EPDM thermal oxygen aging properties of compression permanent deformation,EPDM service life at 23°C is 1082754.50657 h,that is,123.6 years.Besides,this paper studies the Mullins effect of CB enhanced EPDM vulcanizate.The series CB content enhanced EPDM vulcanizate system have different Mullins effects during uniaxial cyclic stretching.That is,under the same tensile strain,the maximum tensile stress,internal friction,loss factor(Tanδ)all reach maximum at the first cyclic stretching,decrease significantly during the second cyclic stretching and then decline slowly.The instantaneous residual deformation increases with the increase of tensile times.With the increase of tensile strain,the maximum tensile stress and internal friction increase significantly.Moreover,increasing CB particle size also has Mullins effect in CB reinforced vulcanizate system.Under the same tensile strain,the maximum tensile stress reaches the maximum at the first cyclic tensile,decrease significantly during the second cyclic stretching and then decline slowly.The instantaneous residual deformation increases with the increase of tensile times.And the maximum tensile stress increases significantly with the increase of tensile strain.Finally,this paper explores the reversible recovery of EPDM vulcanizate at different heat treatment temperatures.The results show that the recovery effect of Mullins effect is the best when the heat treatment temperature is at 120°C.Based on the above research,EPDM optimal formula and phr are obtained as EPDM 100phr;sulfur 0.5phr;accelerant EG—5 3phr;Zinc Oxide 5phr;stearic acid 1phr;carbon black 35phr;silica10phr;paraffin wax 5phr;paraffin oil 30 phr;antiaging agent RD 0.5phr;antiaging agent MB 0.5phr. |
