China has the largest antimony reserves and production in the world.Antimony of China was mainly distributed in the southwest region which reserves and production account for 63% and 80% of this country. The exploitation of antimony in China has a long history. For Qinglong Antimony Mine, large amounts of tailings pond of antimony have been produced for nearly a hundred years. In addition, the fragile Karst landform ecosystem in the region has made the pollution situation even worse. Therefore,it was not only a comprehensive pollution prevention and development process for tailings pond of antimony reservoirs control provides theoretical support but also was of great significance to the sustainable development and utilization of antimony by clarifying the migration process and influencing factors of heavy metals in the process of natural stacking of tailings and the release process and spatial distribution characteristics of heavy metals from tailings and smelting process of antimony to the environment. In this study, the tailings of Qinglong Dachang tailings pond of antimony.Reservoir and surrounding soil were taken as the research objects. Two tailings profiles were collected and set every 10 cm as a sample. There are 33 samples of section 1 and 79 samples of section 2.At the same time,39 surrounding agricultural land samples and 18 wasteland soil samples were collected.By measuring the physical and chemical properties, total heavy metals and morphology of tailings and soil samples, the epigenetic changes and migration process of tailings, the sources and spatial distribution characteristics of heavy metals in soil are analyzed, and on the basis of this, the pollution status of the study area The evaluation showed that:1)At this stage, the Sb in the tailings pond of antimony pond of Qinglong plant is in the release phase, and the content of Sb increases with the depth; As,Zn,Cd,Pb,Cr,Cu these elements do not undergo significant migration. But as the library gradually acidifies,it will result in rapid release as the p H reaches below 6;clay and silt-level particles play an essential role in the accumulation of heavy metals.2)In the tailings pond of antimony storage facility and the plant area, the spatial distribution of Sb and As content in three different depths of soil layers(0 ? 10,10 ? 20 and 20 ? 30 cm)was highly consistent and was subject to a combination of dominant wind direction and topography influences; The downward migration depth of Sb and As was at least 30 cm;Sb,As,Zn,Cr,Pb,Cd were mainly related to antimony smelting.Meanwhile,Pb and Cd were also affected by geological background.Cu were affected by source of artificial pollution and antimony ore.3)The reason of the gap content of As and Sb in the soil was the difference in sampling points. But they were both exist in the form of residues mainly as high as 97%;The Nemero index indicates that the area was heavily polluted, which was different from the risk factor results.Sb and As pollution in agricultural land and wasteland soil were negligible.Sb in the wasteland soil was slightly polluted.
