Energy is the material basis and prerequisite for human social and economic development.China's demand for energy continues to increase with the acceleration of industrialization.Excessive fossil fuel consumption will cause fuel depletion and environmental pollution. Therefore, the development and development of non-fossil energy should be regarded as the top priority of current energy development.Solar energy,as the most common renewable energy source, has the advantages of being harmless, huge, and inexhaustible. But it also has the disadvantages of low energy density, discontinuousness, low efficiency and high cost.Through research on heat storage materials, solar energy can be more reasonably applied. The work carried out in this paper on the performance of expanded graphite/calcium chloride composite chemical heat storage materials is as follows:Firstly, the heat storage and exothermic performance of calcium chloride hexahydrate was tested to analyze its heat storage and exothermic mechanism;secondly, the expanded graphite was processed to obtain expanded graphite and then compounded with calcium chloride hexahydrate to prepare Expanded graphite/calcium chloride composite chemical heat storage material. Finally, the heat storage density and heat release characteristics of the composite material were tested and analyzed. In addition, the corrosion characteristics of calcium chloride on common metal materials were studied, and by adding different Analysis of the corrosion inhibitor on the corrosion inhibition of metal materials.Through the exothermic performance test,it is obtained that the pure calcium chloride hexahydrate chemical heat storage material has a heat release of only 652.83 J/g,and the expanded graphite / calcium chloride composite has different heat release performance.By comparing the exothermic properties of the composite materials prepared with different mass ratios, the best raw material ratio method for preparing expanded graphite-based calcium chloride composite chemical heat storage materials is determined as the mass ratio of calcium chloride hexahydrate to expanded graphite is 5:1,the exothermic heat of the composite material can reach 1598.52 J/g.It can be seen from the curve of the temperature of the exothermic medium with time during the heat release of the composite material. The calcium chloride in the composite material can quickly release heat when reacting with water, and the temperature can reach the highest in about 20-40 seconds.Using electrochemical workstation and three-electrode system, the corrosion of calcium chloride medium to copper and aluminum was studied by electrochemical method, the polarization curve and polarization parameters were analyzed, and the electrochemical corrosion was tried to be suppressed by corrosion inhibitor.
