Zr O2 has a high melting point?2716??and excellent physicochemical properties etc,making the Zr O2 widely used in high-temperature sensors,solid oxide fuel cells,precision optoelectronic devices,Oxygen sensor and optical devices.Yttria stabilized zirconia?YSZ?single crystals were grown by the optical floating furnace as YSZ.Using YSZ as a host,Er2O3 doped and Er2O3,Yb2O3 co-doped with different concentrations record as Er2O3:YSZ,Yb/Er:YSZ crystal.By Testing the microstructure of the crystal by XRD and Raman spectroscopy,determine and analyze the phase structure of the crystal.UV-Vis-NIR absorption spectroscopy,photoluminescence spectroscopy?PL?and color coordinates are used to characterize the optical properties of the crystal and to calculate the color coordinates and color purity of the crystal samples.Analyze the process of energy transfer between ions and the up-conversion luminescence mechanism.The intensity parameters,transition probability,fluorescence branching ratio and energy level lifetime of the crystal sample are calculated by J-O theory.XRD analysis of Er2O3:YSZ crystals doped with different concentrations shows that the Er2O3:YSZ crystals are cubic.Through Raman spectroscopy test,Er2O3:YSZ crystals has only one Raman spectrum peak,therefore,Er2O3:YSZ crystals has a cubic phase structure,which is consistent with the XRD results.Under the excitation of 980 nm laser,Er2O3:YSZ crystals achieved up-conversion luminescence,the emission peaks are located at 547 nm(Green 2H11/2?4I15/2),561nm(Green 4S3/2?4I15/2),and 679 nm(Red 4F9/2?4I15/2).When the content of Er2O3is 1.50mol%,the green light emission intensity is the strongest with the strongest peak at 561 nm.By analyzed the up-conversion power curve of Er2O3:YSZ crystal,it is obtained that the up-conversion luminescence mechanism of Er2O3:YSZ crystal is the Excited State Absorption and Energy Transfer Up-conversion.The color purity of 1.50mol%Er2O3:YSZ crystal is 95.3%,indicating that Er2O3:YSZ crystal has great application potential in green light output.The XRD test results of 1.50mol%Er2O3 and Yb2O3 co-doped YSZ crystal at different concentrations show that all the crystals have a cubic phase structure.Under the excitation of 980 nm laser luminescence spectra the addition of the sensitizer Yb2O3has significantly improved the intensity of the emission peak.And when the content of Yb2O3 reaches 2.00mol%,the intensity of emission peak reaches the maximum.The down-converted emission spectrum has four emission peaks at 1539,1639,1691,and 1811 nm.The highest emission peak at 1690 nm.When the concentration of Yb2O3 is 1.50mol%,the emission intensity reaches the maximum.The comparison of Er2O3:YSZ crystals and Yb/Er:YSZ crystals shows that the intensity of the red light emission peak of Yb/Er:YSZ crystal is much higher than that of 1.50mol%Er2O3:YSZ crystal,emission intensity increased by about 30 times.The instensity parameters of Yb/Er:YSZ crystal ?2=3.73×10-20cm2,?4=1.62×10-20cm2,?6 = 1.07×10-20cm2.The spectral quality factor ?4/?6 = 1.51,which shows that Yb/Er:YSZ single crystal is suitable for the matrix of laser output materials.Under the excitation of 980 nm laser,Yb/Er:YSZ crystal,Yb3+,Er3+energy conversion transfer process is analyzed.The color purity of 2.0 Yb/Er:YSZ crystal is as high as 91.4%,indicating that Yb/Er:YSZ crystal is suitable for red light output.
