In this paper, the surface modification of plastic filler is used to prepare a new type of plastic particle electrode. The particle electrode is put into a three-dimensional electrolytic reactor to study the performance and mechanism of simulated phenol wastewater treatment, and discuss the possibility of treating actual phenol wastewater. The single factor experiments and the orthogonal experimental method were used to optimize the preparation conditions of the plastic particle electrode. The plastic particle electrode was characterized by SEM-EDS and XRD.The two-dimensional electrolytic reactor was compared with the plastic particle electrode three-dimensional electrolytic reactor about performance of phenol degradation. The results show that the best conditions for preparing plastic particle electrodes are graphene oxide dosage of0.05 g,volume ratio of water to polyethylene is 3:1,and 3 h of oxidation time. The oxide of Sn-Sb was successfully loaded on the surface of the plastic particle electrode. The removal rate of phenol was 99.25%by the plastic particle electrode three-dimensional electrolytic reactor, which was 60.88%higher than that of the two-dimensional electrolytic reactor, which proved that the plastic particle electrode has a good degradation effect on phenol. The effects of different experimental factors on the treatment of simulated phenol wastewater by a plastic particle electrode three-dimensional electrolytic reactor were investigated by the control variable method. The plastic particle electrode was compared with Sn-Sb/GAC and Sn-Sb/?-Al2O3 about degrading phenol and reusing efficiency.Under the condition of NaCl as the electrolyte, electrolysis voltage of 15 V,electrolyte concentration of 1.0 g/L,particle electrode dosage of 25.00 g/L,and initial pH value of4,the removal rate of phenol from the plastic particle electrode is up to 99.25%,and the process of degradation is basically consistent with the first-order reaction kinetic model.Among the three particle electrodes, the plastic particle electrode has obvious advantages. The removal efficiency of phenol is the highest at 99.25%;the current efficiency is the highest at 26.45%;the energy consumption is the lowest at 226.19 kW·h/kg COD;the removal rate of phenol remained above 90%in seven cycles. The mechanism of three-dimensional electrolytic degradation of phenol under chloride ion system were discussed. The three-dimensional electrolysis method mainly degrades phenol by generating strongly oxidizing substances such as·OH,HClO etc.In order to verify the effect of plastic particle electrode on the treatment of actual phenol-containing wastewater,a plastic particle electrode three-dimensional electrolytic reactor was used to treat coking wastewater and the operating conditions are optimized. The results show that the COD removal rate of the plastic particle electrode three-dimensional electrolytic reactor for coking wastewater treatment is 81.49%and the energy consumption is 85.63 kW·h/kg COD under the conditions of an electrolysis voltage of 14.561 V,a particle electrode dosage of 24.189 g/L,and a reaction time of2.518 h.And its reaction process accords with the first-order reaction kinetic model.
