For hundreds of millions of years,the biological surface in nature has developed many excellent functional characteristics.This can be explained by “survival of the fittest in natural selection”.The lotus leaf surface and the butterfly wing scale surface developed the function of self-cleaning characteristic.The surface of shark skin and mole cricket head developed the function of desorption and drag reduction.The bamboo leaf surface and the shell of desert beetle developed the characteristics of water collection.This paper is inspired by the surface of butterfly wings and honeycomb structure.The bionic structure model was established,and then the surface of 7075 aluminum alloy was etched by laser to prepare the bionic hydrophobic surface with low adhesion and self-cleaning performance.This paper also analyzes the structural characteristics and hydrophobic self-cleaning characteristics of bionic aluminum alloy surface,and studies the contribution of bionic structure to the wettability of the surface.The results show that the bionic structure constructed on the aluminum alloy substrate by laser processing can make the surface obtain excellent hydrophobic self-cleaning property.Biomimetic microstructure constructed by laser processing is one of the key factors to obtain hydrophobic properties on the surface of aluminum alloy.The two surfaces with different bionic structures have excellent hydrophobic properties.Among them,the honeycomb like hexagonal structure has the best surface performance,and its contact angle to water can reach 152.0 °.At the same time,the surfaces of the two bionic structures also have good low adhesion properties,and the rolling angle of the honeycomb like hexagonal structure surface can be as low as 2.3 °.Honeycomb like structure has better hydrophobic and rolling characteristics than butterfly like wing grid structure,which can verify that the structural characteristics have an important impact on the wettability of bionic surface.
