As traditional river management techniques are limited, graphene photocatalysis has received increasing attention recently,as it can degrade pollutants without requiring any external power or chemicals. Here, the effect of graphene photocatalysis on urban rivers was determined, taking the Nanfei River as an example, using a rainfall runoff, hydrodynamic and water quality module based on MIKE11 to predict the main pollutants that contain ammonia(NH3-N)and total phosphorus(TP).The effect of water quality improvement in the Nanfei River was simulated under three different scenarios(treatment plant upgrade, use of graphene photocatalytic oxidation technology, and a combination of both). The main contents and main conclusions are as follows:(1)Applying the hydrodynamic module(HD),rainfall runoff module(NAM),and convection diffusion module(AD)of the MIKE11 water quality hydrodynamic model to establish a water quality model for the Nanfei River, and simulate the spatiotemporal evolution of the main pollutants ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus law.The results show that the correlation coefficient is 0.905 after comparing the simulated flow value of the model on the upper boundary with the measured flow value on the upper boundary, and the correlation coefficient is obtained after comparing the ammonia nitrogen value simulated on the model section with the measured value. It is 0.956,which indicates that the simulation results of the model established this time have small errors and measured data, which are relatively real and reliable, and can correctly reflect the hydrodynamic conditions of the Nanfei River and the spatiotemporal changes of pollution factors in the river section.(2)Based on the calibrated MIKE11 model,it simulates the effect of different schemes of wastewater treatment plant upgrading, graphene photocatalytic technology, and the combination of the two on the water quality improvement of polluted river sections. The simulation results show that the application of graphene photocatalytic oxidation technology in combination with wastewater treatment plant upgrading measures has the most significant effect on improving river water quality. The national control section—the Shikou section has 350 days of ammonia nitrogen compliance,365 days of total phosphorus compliance, and ammonia nitrogen compliance. The rate is 95.89%,and the total phosphorus has reached the standard throughout the year, which basically meets its water quality requirements.(3)According to the simulation results of the MIKE11 model,it can provide new scientific basis and application references for the selection and determination of water pollution treatment schemes and processes for Nanfei River and other similar rivers, and provide a new feasible method for the treatment of polluted urban water.
