With the continuous improvement of the working efficiency of drilling equipment,oil companies and research institutions pay more attention to the integral transporting system of drilling rig and develop the trailer of towing rig,in order to improve the transport performance of the drilling rig.The existing main trailer of 1000 HP towing rig,which solves the problem of long time installation and multiple transport trips during the process of moving the rig,but there are also many problems,such as overload at the traction pin and oversize of the outer side of the wheel of main trailer,etc.In order to solve these problems,the main trailer of 1000 HP towing rig is optimized and improved.First the paper optimized the pressure at the traction pin of the existing main trailer.The appropriate design variables,objective functions and constraints were selected,and two multiobjective models of mathematical optimization were established.Combining with MATLAB software,the objective function of the two mathematical models were optimized respectively by traditional multiobjective optimization method and NSGA-II algorithm,and an optimization scheme for the problem of overload at the traction pin was determined by analyzing and comparing.According to the optimization scheme for the problem of overload at the traction pin,the main trailer frame was improved,and a 3d model of the frame was established by using SolidWorks.According to various working conditions,finite element analysis of the frame was carried out by using ANSYS Workbench.The results showed that the strength and stiffness of the frame meet the requirements.In order to solve the problem of oversize of the outer side of the wheel,the axle assembly of the existing main trailer was improved.The tire and rim were replaced,the structure of the axle was improved,and a 3d model of the axle assembly was established.According to various working conditions,the finite element analysis of the axle was carried out by using ANSYS Workbench.The results showed that the strength and stiffness of the axle also meet the requirements.The unsprung weight of the main trailer was so large that made the transport of the main trailer bad,so the lightweight design of the axle was carried out.First a 3d model of the main trailer was established,then the size optimization of the axle was carried out.The structure of the axle was improved according to the optimization result,and the finite element analysis of the optimized axle was carried out again.Compared with the former one,the weight of the axle was reduced by 13.0 percent,so the objective of reducing the unsprung weight of the main trailer was realized.
