Application Of Die-cutting Technology In Book Making

With the change of aesthetic concept of book design,books are developing towards diversification.The book created by book designer is not only a static book form,but also an artistic work with perfect combination of artistic beauty and personality.Die-cutting,as a traditional post-press cutting process,has unique artistic charm.Proper use of die-cutting process can change the external form of books,break the traditional inherent mode,no longer limited to straight edges and right angles,and bring readers a brand-new emotional experience in vision and touch.Based on die-cutting technology and case analysis,this paper summarizes the application of die-cutting technology in book making.The first chapter explains the research background,research purpose,significance and innovation of die-cutting technology in book making.The second chapter analyzes and summarizes the meaning of "die cutting",the development process of die cutting technology and the concept of book form.Through the combination of detailed and vivid cases and theories,the artistic features of die-cutting technology in book making are fully expounded,and the current situation of die-cutting technology in book making is analyzed.Chapter III: Taking the graduation design work "Shan Hai Jing" as an example,discusses the application practice and analysis of die cutting technology in book making,which is the key part of this article.First of all,I think about the design concept and creativity of graduation works.Secondly,I combine my graduation works to reflect the different forms of die-cutting technology in book making and the artistic effects achieved.Finally,I think about the future books.In the process of making books,die-cutting technology is skillfully adopted to present unique visual effects and better convey the information in the books to the readers,so that the books can achieve the combination of form and content,art and function,thus meeting the aesthetic needs of modern readers.At the same time,I also hope to explore new methods for traditional book making and find a broader space for future book making.
