| Ecological pollution and resource constraints make environmental protection a vital global issue.In China,behind decades of rapid economic development,various environmental issues have increasingly affected the stability of the country and society.Under such an era,as a company that plays an important role in both the national economy and environmental protection,how to achieve sustainable development has become a major problem given to it by the times.Scholars believe that green innovation is an effective way to solve this problem in the long run.Through reading and combing the existing green innovation literature,we find that the empirical research on green innovation at the enterprise level still has the following shortcomings: First,the frontier research focuses more on the relationship between external stakeholder pressure and green innovation,and lacks consideration of internal stakeholders,especially executives.Second,although the influence of regulators and customer pressure on green innovation has been recognized by scholars,there is very little literature on the mechanism of its impact;this paper constructs the conceptual framework of external pressure,managerial environmental awareness and green innovation from the perspective of stakeholder theory,and introduces green human resource management as a mediator variable to explore the intermediary role played by external pressure,executive environmental awareness and green innovation mechanism.This paper selects domestic environmental pressure-based enterprises as the research object,collects data through questionnaires,and selects all respondents from the company’s senior management,department managers and environmental affairs related persons,they are familiar with corporate stakeholders,green innovation and Green human resource management,to ensure that the questionnaire data reflects the true state of the business.After empirical research on 402 valid questionnaire data collected,we draw the following conclusions: First,regulator pressure,customer pressure,and managerial environmental awareness have significantly positively affected corporate green innovation.Second,green human resource management significantly positively affects corporate green innovation.Third,green human resource management has played a significant intermediary role in regulator pressure and green innovation,customer pressure and green innovation,managerial environmental awareness and green innovation.Our empirical research results enrich and expand the existing research on stakeholder theory,green human resource management and green innovation,and provide practical management strategies and recommendations for how to select and design human resource management practices.And how to effectively convert stakeholders’ environmental impacts into green innovations. |
