Natural gas is considered to be a promising energy sources,the main ingredient of which,CH4,however to be a grievous greenhouse gas,so it is of great significance to reduce the CH4 emission in the ventilation of coal mine and the exhaust gas of natural gas engine.Catalytic oxidation,which is regarded as one of the best methods to reduce methane,could remove lean methane effectively at low temperature,and produces little polution.This research focuses on the catalytic oxidation of lean methane,and introduces electric field to the catalysts system to promote the catalytic activity and lower the ignition temperature of catalysts.The main work and conclusions are as follows:?1?The property of catalytic oxidation of lean methane over a series of Pd/Co3O4 noble mental catalysts is studied,and it is found that the catalytic efficiency increases with the increase of the load of noble mental Pd,but the revenue of efficiency inproving by the increase of Pd loading in per unit decreases.?2?The property of catalytic oxidation of lean methane over a series of Pd/Co3O4 noble mental catalysts assisted by electric field is studied,and it is found that there is a synergistic effect between electric field and Pd/Co3O4 catalysts,and the enhancement of catalytic efficience is proportional to the increase of the input current.?3?The property of catalytic oxidation of lean methane over a series of MnxCoy mental oxide catalysts is studied,and it is found that Co element has great effect on the catalytic oxidation of methane,and the property could be significantly improved if a little Mn element is adulterated.And the catalysts could reach the best performance when the ratio of Mn/Co is1:5.?4?The property of catalytic oxidation of lean methane over a series of MnxCoy mental oxide catalysts assisted by electric field is studied,and it is found that electric field has a strong synergistic effect with Co element on the catalytic oxidation of methane,but has little with Mn element,and the synergistic effect of electric field with pure Co catalyst could be enhanced by a little adulteration of Mn element.?5?Based on the test results of catalytic property and the results of characterization analysis,the reaction mechanism of catalytic oxidation of methane over Pd/Co3O4 noble mental catalysts and MnxCoy mental oxide catalysts with and without electic field are proposed.
