Conjugated polymer nanoparticles(CPNs)have become a research hotspot in biology, medicine, chemistry, material science because of its excellent biocompatibility, easy surface modification, small size, high brightness, light and fluorescent bleaching and other excellent performance. This thesis is based on the current development of CPNs,focusing on the design and preparation of folate conjugated polymer nanoparticles and its application in cancer cell targeted imaging and killing. The main research contents are as follows.1.Carboxyl functionalized CPNs were prepared by co-precipitation method based on hydrophobic interactions between the conjugated polymers(CP)and poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride)(PSMA).After modification of the surface, folate modified nanoparticles(FACPNs)were obtained. At the same time, the introduction of polyethylene glycol chains between folic acid and nanoparticles also greatly improved the biocompatibility of FA-CPNs.At the same time, the morphology, size and fluorescence properties of the FA-CPNs were investigated by using TEM and DLS techniques.2.FA-CPNs imaging of cancer cells and normal cells was studied by fluorescence imaging technique, which shows that the folic acid modified CPNs can specific imaging of HeLa cells and can be targeted to kill cancer cells at the same time.
