In recent years,rare-earth hybrid luminescent materials have attracted wide attention because of their excellent properties and rich applications. In general, such hybrid materials are prepared by doping rare earth complexes into various substrates including zeolites,TiO2,SiO2 or clay materials. However, the hybrid material prepared by this method has weak interaction between components. The Ln3+active centers tend to cluster, and the distribution of rare earth complexes are generally not uniform, the dopants can easily be filtered out.In this paper, organic modified silane ligands are used as the“bridges”to connect the layered material Laponite and the Ln3+to construct the novel hybrid luminescent materials. The hybrid luminescent materials are prepared by covalent grafting. That is,the organic ligands are covalently grafted on the Laponite templates and the Ln3+ions can be well immobilized by the ligands through coordination bond. Therefore, the method can guarantee molecular distribution of Ln3+complexes in the materials, and the agglomeration of the active centers can be effectively avoided.1.We use the organic modified silane TMC-Si which consist of a C3-symmetrical benzene central core moiety to provide covalent bonding between inorganic matrix and organic group.TMC-Si also can simultaneously sensitize the luminescence of Eu3+and Tb3+to emit their characteristic fluorescence. The hybrid materials exhibit tunable emission colors by varying the molar ratio of Eu3+to Tb3+,and the one with Eu3+:Tb3+=1:1 exhibits excellent coordinate of(0.327,0.328)located in the“white region”of the CIE 1931chromaticity diagram(under 300 nm UV illumination). These properties make the hybrid material suitable for manufacturing optoelectronic devices such as color displays and white LEDs.2.A kind of Nitrogen-Coordinated Heterocyclic ligand phenSi was synthesized. We use it as a multifunctional connector to realize the chemical bond assembly of a luminescent hybrid material system. We have successfully prepared several kinds of luminescent organic-inorganic hybrid materials based on Laponite.Lap-phenSi-Eu(TTA)3have good dispersibility in water and has been prepared as a transparent film on a substrate. It can be used as a red light-emitting material in LED lighting,to compensate for the cold light of ordinary LED lighting. In addition, due to the good solubility in water, the luminescent hybrid material also has great potential for sensing applications in living organisms.
