After a series of processing technologies such as sizing and dyeing,the fabric is made into various styles of clothing to wear on the body.The human body will produce different forces when it is still or moving.These combined forces on clothing make the fabric show a complex state of pleats,which is called the appearance of pleats.The appearance of pleats of clothing fabric affects the visual beauty and comfort of wearing.Therefore,a set of objective characterization methods and indicators are needed to evaluate the appearance of pleats.At present,the general method for evaluating the appearance of pleats is to use the wrinkle recovery angle and evenness level of the fabric to reflect the pleats of the fabric.Due to the complex state of clothing fabric under various conditions,the wrinkle recovery angle only measures the pleats produced in the longitudinal or latitudinal direction.Subjective assessment of flatness will be different due to human body differences.Both of these two methods can not represent the wrinkle form of clothing fabric after wearing.It is necessary to explore a more objective and accurate characterization method and index to evaluate the fold appearance of the fabric.In this paper,a new wrinkling device is used.A new test method is put forward and the characterization indexes are improved.Based on the indexes such as the number e,the height difference h and CV,and the width W of the transverse coordinate of the pleats,the paper further puts forward the non-uniformity n of the pleats,which is the standard deviation of all the heights of the whole cloth.The image edge contour information is obtained by the convolution contour scanning method.The computer image processing technology is used to solve the problem of fast image processing and accurate information acquisition.The standard operation steps are set for the obtained image from consistent cutting to continuous and rapid extraction of fabric fold state data.34 kinds of common clothing fabrics were selected to test the appearance of pleats.Two main factors,which are closely related to the number and distribution of pleats,are extracted by factor analysis.According to the proportion of factor cumulative variance,the comprehensive score of fabric fold appearance is calculated.According to the characteristics of the appearance of the pleats on the cloth surface,it is found that there is a correlation between the fabric structure parameters,evenness grade and the characteristic value of the pleats.Through the linear regression analysis of the data,it is found that the higher the smoothness level of the fabric,the smaller its comprehensive score,and the number of pleats peak and pleats Valley to a certainextent affect the appearance of the fabric pleats.The evenness grade decreases with the increase of the total amount of pleats,and the influence of pleats on the evenness grade can be ignored.Select 12 polyester woven fabrics.To explore the relationship between the two factors and the comprehensive score of the appearance of the pleated fabric and the structural parameters such as fabric thickness,surface density and tightness,the experimental data shows that the number model and the comprehensive score of the pleated peak and pleated valley have obvious linear correlation with the structural parameters.The linear correlation between the model and the structural parameters is not obvious.From the correlation analysis,it is found that the thickness has the greatest influence on the number and appearance of pleats,and the weight has the second.In addition,the influence of fabric thickness,surface density and tightness on the distribution of pleated peak and pleated Valley is the smallest.Through the virtual expansion 3D reconstruction of four typical fabrics with different structural parameters,it can be seen that the fabric with higher comprehensive score has higher flatness,and the corresponding fabric fold appearance is more uneven.By using the index data,we can evaluate the appearance of cloth pleats quantitatively and objectively.According to the characteristics of the pleated appearance of clothing fabrics,this paper puts forward a set of new characterization methods and objective indexes.The influence of fabric structure parameters on the appearance of pleats was investigated by experiments and a regression model was established.It can provide reference for the textile industry in the detection method of the pleated appearance of clothing fabric and provide guidance for the aesthetic design of the pleated appearance of clothing.In addition,based on the computer programming to achieve the rapid processing of pictures and accurate access to information,in line with the ability of contemporary computer access to information.At last,the 3D reconstruction of fabric pleats can directly evaluate the appearance of fabric pleats and predict the aesthetic feeling of fabric pleats.
