Study On The Characteristics Of Water Pollution Reports Of People’s Daily(1949-2018)

As the earliest environmental issue concerned by the state and society,water pollution has gradually become the main issue reported by various media since the early days of the People’s Republic of China.Therefore,this study took the water pollution reports of People s’ Daily for seventy years(1949-2018)as samples,and used content analysis method to study 1646 samples,which were analyzed from four aspects:sample attribute,report attitude,report structure and report content.From the perspective of the evolution of content characteristics,water pollution report has experienced five periods of silence,germination,development,turbulence and stability,gradually forming a positive and neutral attitude tone.The topics are dominated by policies and measures,pollution status quo,and water environment restoration,and diversified development is the trend to report water pollution.In terms of the evolution of form features,the report layout changes from complex to professional,the report types from single description to in-depth analysis,and the trend of using image symbols is obviousThe People’s Daily as different social classes,different social roles,different information sources in the field of social and communication link,set up by the water pollution issues,construction of water environment protection consciousness,the water pollution risk communication,promote the improvement of water environment,in the audiences’ right to know,reduce the distance between media and the audience,and make construct platform for solve the problem of water pollution of certain contribution,but should also in cultivating the public’s awareness of risk,safeguard the third party say,establish public trust,etc.
