In this paper,three different compositions of methyl methacrylate and glycidyl methacrylate copolymer P(MMA-co-GMA)were used as compatibilizers to study the compatibilization of PA6/PMMA blends.1.The compatibilization of PA6/PMMA blends with PA6 as continuous phase was studied.The PA6/PMMA blends with 70/30 ratio were selected as typical representative.The effects of the dosage and composition of three compatibilizers on the compatibilities,properties and micro morphology of PA6/PMMA(70/30)blends were studied by means of mechanical properties test,dynamic mechanical analysis and micro morphology analysis.The results showed that P(MMA-co-GMA)compatibilizers of three different compositions could reduce the particle size of the dispersed phase in PA6/PMMA(70/30)blends,improve the compatibility between the two phases of the blends,improve the mechanical properties of the blends,and the composition of the compatibilizer had a great influence on the improvement effect.2.The compatibilization of PA6/PMMA blends was studied by changing the ratio of PA6 to PMMA in PA6/PMMA blends.PA6/PMMA blends with a ratio of 30/70 were selected as the study object,and the effects of the dosage and composition of three P(MMA-co-GMA)compatibilizers on the compatibilities and properties of PA6/PMMA(30/70)blends were investigated.The results show that the introduction of three compatibilizers can effectively increase the compatibilization of PA6/PMMA(30/70)blends,and effectively improve the tensile strength,elongation at break and bending strength of PA6/PMMA(30/70)blends.When the dosage of P(MMA-co-GMA)8compatibilizer was 30%,the bending strength of the blend reached 210 MPa,which was62% higher than that of the blend without compatibilizer.3.The compatibilization of PA6/PMMA blends with bicontinuous phase was studied by selecting the middle proportion of PA6/PMMA blends.The effects of the dosage and composition of three P(MMA-co-GMA)compatibilizers on the compatibilities and properties of PA6/PMMA(50/50)blends were investigated.The results show that the compatibilizers of three different compositions can improve the compatibility between PA6/PMMA(50/50)blends,improve the tensile strength and bending strength of the blends.When the dosage of P(MMA-co-GMA)4 compatibilizer was 20%,the tensilestrength and bending strength of the blends were 34 MPa and 150 MPa,which were 89%and 47% higher than those of PA6/PMMA blends without compatibilizer.The experimental results show that P(MMA-co-GMA)compatibilizers of three different compositions can effectively improve the compatibility of PA6/PMMA blends,improve the mechanical properties of blends,especially significantly improve the tensile strength and bending strength of blends.In general,P(MMA-co-GMA)4 and P(MMA-co-GMA)8 have better results.
