Mining dump trucks are used on a large scale in today’s mine transportation, and they are responsible for most of the ore transportation.Due to its complicated structure and complicated road conditions in the mining area, the fatigue damage of the frame of the mining dump truck occurs.A type of 220 t mining dump truck has cracked in the frame part after less than 10,000 hours of use, which causes a huge safety hazard for the mining truck.Due to the long cost and cycle of the mining dump truck during the research and development process, and considering the existing conditions, currently the main consideration is to use virtual simulation technology to study the vehicle dynamics and structural strength and modal analysis.Combined with the existing SDS1000 KN electro-hydraulic servo fatigue tester to do fatigue test and metallographic test to study the microstructure of the material. The main research contents and steps are as follows:(1)First,a simplified three-dimensional model of the entire vehicle and the road surface is established, and the virtual prototype model of the entire vehicle is built into the dynamics software ADAMS and carry out dynamic analysis of mining dump trucks. The purpose of vehicle dynamics analysis is to determine the dynamic mechanical characteristics of various moving parts of the vehicle under various extreme conditions,to find out the situation where the vehicle is subjected to large forces during driving, and to provide a finite element for the vehicle and its components Analysis provides accurate and dynamic input conditions and improves the credibility of finite element analysis results.(2)Through the finite element software ANSYS Workbench, the strength of the car under the full load of standing, lifting and turning extreme harsh conditions is calculated to investigate whether the frame meets the static strength requirements.Modal analysis is also carried out on the frame structure, through which the impact of vibration on the frame can be intuitively understood. The vibration characteristics of the frame structure determine its response to various other dynamic loads.(3)The fatigue life of 6 sets of HG70 steel samples was obtained by SDS1000KNelectro-hydraulic servo fatigue testing machine.During the fatigue test,it was found that the fatigue fractures were concentrated at 2 to 3 cm beside the weld, rather than the weld cracking.Considering the problems with the welding process, which caused the welding tempered zone to soften the steel, the metallographic test was used to find out the existence of welding Fire zone. And put forward specific suggestions for improvement. The frame structure is prone to fatigue strength failure under alternating or impact loads. Therefore,it is very important to examine the stress level of the frame under extreme conditions and identify the stress dangerous parts for the design verification of the entire vehicle.
