In recent years, with the rapid development of society and science and technology, energy problem has always been a major problem that can not be ignored. With the increasingly depletion of fossil energy, people have a strong demand for finding an alternative, environmentally friendly and safe energy storage device.Supercapacitor is a suitable electrochemical energy storage device. It not only has the high energy density of battery, but also has the characteristics of rapid charge and discharge of traditional capacitor, which is an ideal alternative energy.Because the performance and advantages and disadvantages of supercapacitors mainly depend on the electrode materials of capacitors, carbon materials are used as electrode materials with high power density and good cycle stability, but the disadvantage is that the energy density is low.As electrode materials, carbon based metal oxides not only have ultra-high conductivity, but also contain abundant active sites for redox reactions, thus showing the characteristics of pseudocapacitance. In this paper,we develop electrode materials with high energy density by adjusting the morphology and pore size of carbon based materials. In addition, the design of nanostructured electrodes and synthesis of nanoscale active materials can help to develop energy storage devices with high electrochemical performance, which not only has the energy density close to the optimal battery, but also has the advantages of fast charge discharge rate, high power density and long service life.
