Pyrolysis is an very important technology for biomass conversion and utilization, which can transform solid biomass into different forms of fuels or chemicals by controlling different reaction conditions. And the bio oil obtained by conventional pyrolysis of biomass is very complex and contains a lot of organic components.Although it contains a variety of high added-value material,it is difficult to separate and extract because of its low content. And in order to enrich specific high added-value substances in bio oil,the biomass selective pyrolysis technology was developed to obtain specific target products by selecting specific biomass materials and directionally regulating the pyrolysis process.1.Selective production of 4-ethyl phenol from pyrolysis of bagasse by using activated carbonIn this study, bagasse was used as raw material and activated carbon as catalyst. Both analytical Py-GC/MS(Pyrolysis-Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry)and lab-scale fast pyrolysis experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of pyrolysis temperature and activated carbon/bagasse ratio on 4-EP formation. The results indicated that the activated carbon catalyst exhibited promising catalytic hydrogenation performance without extra addition of any hydrogen source,to promote the selective conversion of 4-VP into 4-EP.The Py-GC/MS experiments showed that the highest yield and the corresponding relative content of 4-EP was obtained at 350? and activated carbon/bagasse ratio of 4/1.The lab-scale experiments obtained the maximal 4-EP yield of 2.37vwt%at 300? and activated carbon/bagasse ratio of 1/5,and the selectivity of 11.26%.2.Selective preparation of phenol by catalytic pyrolysis of poplar with K3PO4 in hydrogen atmosphereIn this study, poplar wood was used as raw material and phosphate(K3PO4?K2HPO4.KH2PO4)as catalyst. The phosphate was loaded onto poplar wood by impregnation, and the lab-scale pyrolysis experiment was carried out under the atmosphere of nitrogen and hydrogen to investigate the effects of catalyst types, pyrolysis temperature,catalyst/biomass ratio and gas atmosphere on pyrolysis product distribution, phenol yield and selectivity. The results showed that K3PO4 and hydrogen can synergistically promote the decomposition of lignin to produce phenol selectively. The phenol yield and the selectivity reach the maximum when the optimum condition for phenol preparation is that the pyrolysis temperature was 550? and the load of K3PO4 was 8.00wt%.And the maximum phenol yield was 5.30wt%and the selectivity was 17.80%.
