Training is a key strategy for human resources development and for organization in achievingorganizational objectives.Organizations and public authorities have invested large amounts of resources intraining, but rarely have the data to show the results of that investment.Only a few organizationsevaluate training in depth due to the difficulty involved and the lack of valid instruments and viablemodels. As a result, though training evaluation is an important component of personal development,it has received insufficient attention by project managers, members of project teams and their organizations, making training a target for cut-back at times of tightening budgets. Thus,it is necessary to develop a viablemodel for evaluation of training effectiveness because of training's importance for employees and organizations. This study applies human performance technology, analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods to optimize the evaluation of training effectiveness of company B.Specifically, firstly, after enough literature review, the study using Kirkpatrick'sHierarchical Model of Training Outcomes to build the evaluation of training effectiveness of Company B,which consists of 12 indicators.Secondly, the study applies Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)method to determine the importance weights of evaluation criteria.Lastly, for testing the effectiveness and reliability of the indicators, this study use an example of BCompany with the new indicators. The originality of this evaluation model lies in its focus on a key and novelaspect – the pedagogical dimension, providing an integrated tool that can be easily adapted to anyorganization.Besides, the model has been successfully used in Company B.Therefore, this evaluation model has interesting andpractical implications,as a useful tool for training managers for evaluating training results,as well asproviding a global simplified approach to the complex evaluation function.
