In recent years,with the improvement of people's environmental awareness,windproof net,a new type of wind and dust reduction equipment,has made great contributions to energy conservation and environmental protection,and hot pursuit by the industry.However,as an emerging technology,the research on windproof net starts late in China,and it's lack of practical engineering experience.There is no uniform specification for reference.So it is urgent to the standard research methods and design standards.Model test is one of the main research methods in the study of windproof net.At present,the exploration in this area has achieved initial results.However,due to the lack of practical operation and experience with parameter control,the results are greatly different from the actual.The error caused by Reynolds number effect predominates.Therefore,the research on the Reynolds number effect in windproof net model test is of great significance for promoting the technical progress of windproof net and energy conservation.In this paper,we carry out the wind tunnel model test first.In the experiment,the Reynolds number of the model was adjusted by changing the wind speed,and compare the wind reduction of the same windproof net at different Reynolds numbers.Then referring to the wind tunnel test conditions,we can numerical simulate the wind reduction of the windproof net.By combining the results with the wind tunnel test,the relationship between the model Reynolds number and the wind reduction effect,which called the Reynolds number effect,is obtained.We can also determine the critical value of Reynolds number effect,and derive the conversion formula of experimental results under different Reynolds Numbers.Finally,all the results of the research are verified and applied with practical engineering cases.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In the model test of windproof net,the critical value of Reynolds number effect is about 340000.(2)When the Reynolds number is less than the critical value,the wind reduction effect increases with the Reynolds number.The relation curve is a parabolic shape with the opening downward,and the extreme point is located at the critical value.On the other hand,when the Reynolds number exceeds the critical value,the wind reduction effect basically does not change,and the relation curve shows a horizontal straight line.(3)Under the influence of the Reynolds number effect,the test results need to be amplified by the use of proportionality coefficients when we derive high Reynolds number results from low Reynolds number's.The value of the proportional coefficient is related to the Reynolds number and the distance between the section and the net.(4)In order to eliminate the discretization of data,I used a new method,which called section flow reduction rate,to measure the wind speed reduction effect.The point-by-point analysis method is extended to the method based on section.It's not only greatly simplifies the calculation of processing and analysis of data,but also makes the experimental results more clear.
