Objective:Analysis of plasma homocysteine(HCY)levels in patients with acute myocardial infarction and to explore its correlation with cardiac function. Methods: Forty patients with acute myocardial infarction(myocardial infarction group)were collected in our department of cardiology from october 2016 to october 2017,and were divided into myocardial infarction with heart failure(Killip grade≥Ⅱ),myocardial infarction with normal heart function(Killip grade=I).To selected 20 patients with stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease(stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease group)and 20 volunteers in the medical examination center of our hosptial(control group). To collect the data of plasma homocysteine and compare the differences between the three groups, and to observe the correlation of plasma homocysteine level,Killip’s cardiac function grade, brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Results: 1.Control group, stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease group and acute myocardial infarction group had no statistically significant differences among age, sex, smoking history and hypertension.2.The levels of plasma HCY in the myocardial infarction group and stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease group are higher than control group. The levels of plasma HCY in the myocardial infarction group higher than stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease group. The differences were significant in statistics(P<0.05).3.The levels of HCY,BNP and LVEF in patients with myocardial infarction with heart failure(Killip grade ≥Ⅱlevel)were higher than those in patients with myocardial infarction with normal heart function(Killip grade=Ⅰlevel). The differences were significant in statistics(P<0.05).4.Plasma HCY levels in patients with myocardial infarction were negatively correlated with LVEF(r=-0.56,P<0.05),and positively correlated with BNP(r=0.55,P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Plasma HCY levels in patients with acute myocardial infarction group were higher than those in patients with stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease group and both were higher than those in controls group, which considers that HCY may participates in the development of coronary heart disease.2.The levels of plasma HCY in patients with acute myocardial infarction are increased with the Killip grade increased, and has relevance with LVEF and BNP,which considers that the levels of plasma HCY increased with the aggravating heart failure by degrees.Whether plasma homocysteine is expected to be an indicator for evaluating cardiac function in patients with acute myocardial infarction remains to be further studied.
