| ObjectivesTo observe the feasibility and effect of early enteral immunological nutrition support in elderly patients with gastric cancer.Methods60 cases of gastric cancer with elderly patients were randomly divided into early enteral immunological nutrition group(enteral nutrition,EIN group)and early enteral nutrition group(control group,EN group). In 30 cases of EIN group,2 days before the operation, the oral administration(Enteral Nutritional Emulsion,TPF-T)was able to perform the early enteral nutrition support from 12 to 24 hours after surgery. In 30 cases of EN group,2 days before the operation, the oral administration(enteral nutritional suspension(TPF))was able to perform the early enteral nutrition support from 12 to 24 hours after surgery. The postoperative recovery time, postoperative hospital days and postoperative abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. We recorded and compared the number of total protein(TP),albumin(albumin,ALB)and prealbumin(prealbumin,PA),serum urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(SCr)and total bilirubin(TBil)in the preoperative 1 day early(before),on the day of surgery(art),8 days after nutritional support(after surgery). The expression rate of CD3 +,CD4+ and CD8+T cells was determined and CD4+/CD8+ ratio was calculated.ResultsCompared with EN group, the EIN group showed statistically significant difference between the two groups of albumin(P<0.05)in the first of the operation. The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05)after the operation 8 days after surgery in total protein, albumin, prealbumin and serum creatinine.Compared with EN group,EIN group had the expression rate of CD4+ in 1 day after surgery, and there was statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05).The expression rate of CD3+ and CD4+/CD8+ ratio in the 8 days after surgery were statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05).Comparison between the two groups, the EIN group was significantly shorter than EN group in the postoperative anus exhaust and defecation time and Postoperative hospital stay, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionsDuring perioperative period, the enteral immunotherapy was compared with that of conventional enteral nutrition in elderly patients with gastric cancer. It can significantly promote postoperative nutritional status recovery and recovery of immune function in elderly patients with gastric cancer.it can accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal peristaltic function, shorten hospitalization time and reduce postoperative complications. |
