| Objective: Collected data about 71 patients in the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University who were diagnosed as Guillain-barre syndrome, including clinical characteristics, treatment, prognosis and related data analysis, serum ALT,AST levels,as to provide more clinical experience for regional GBS disease characteristics, treatment and prognosis. Methods: Chose 71 patients were diagnosis guillain-barre syndrome according with diagnostic criteria from January 2013 to November 2013 in departments of neurology, pediatrics, rehabilitation medicine and intensive care unit. The clinical data such as gender, age, onset, precursors, clinical symptoms, treatment regimens, and prognosis were divided into groups combining with clinical manifestation, serum ALT and AST level, cerebrospinal fluid examination, electromyography examination, treatment regimen, severity of disease and prognosis, relevant factors were analyzed. Results: First, among the 71 patients with GBS,45.1% were males and 54.9% were females;non-elderly group <60 years old account for 69.1%,old age group is 30.9%;the incidence of spring was 32.4%,28.2% in summer,14.1% in autumn and 25.4% in winter. There is a history of predisposing infection before onset was 31%(The history of upper respiratory tract infection accounted for 23.9%,and the history of diarrhea accounted for 7.1%).Changed in muscle strength accounted for 83.1%;sensory impairments accounted for 67.6%;cranial nerve damage accounted for 42.3%;respiratory muscle involvement was 7.0%;the GBS disability score scale was < 3,accounting for 71.8%,or more than 3 points, accounting for 28.2%.There were no correlation between gender and incidence in clinical characteristics, but were correlation with season(Especially in spring and summer),middle-aged.The respiratory tract infection mentioned before was the main reason. Most of the patients were mild, the severity of the disease was not related to age,and the most clinical symptoms were limb muscle strength.Second,in the 71 cases of GBS,the cerebrospinal fluid protein accounted for 24%,and the protein cell separation was 74.6%.The characteristic change of GBS patients was the separation of cerebrospinal fluid protein cells.Third,EMG normally account for 4.6%,demyelination damage was 53.8%,axonal damage accounted for 18.5%,the demyelination of axons was 23.1%.The EMG of patients with GBS was mainly demyelination.Fourth, the treatment was only treated with nutritional neurotherapy(12.7%),hormone therapy 63.4%,combined or sequential therapy accounted for 23.9%.The total recurrence was 10 cases, accounting for 14.1%.The majority of GBS patients in our hospital chose hormone therapy and the prognosis was good.Fifth, serum ALT and AST levels were maybe correlated with severity of the disease.ALT and AST levels were higher in middle and heavy GBS patients. Conclusion: First,in this study, there are more cases of GBS in spring and summer, and the above respiratory tract infection is more prevalent in the precursors.Second, most of the myograms of GBS patients show demyelination damage, but some of the patients combine axonal damage.Third, the hormone have therapeutic effect on GBS patients.Fourth,GBS patients’ serum ALT and AST levels are maybe correlated with severity and prognosis, and ALT and AST levels are higher in middle and heavy GBS patients. |
