| Object:To observe the clinical efficacy and complications of the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF)with the method of percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)and risedronate.Methods:72 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures were treated during June2014 to June 2016 in the NO.7 hospital of Suzhou.36 patients were treated by PKP.All patients taking the risedronate against osteoporosis treatment. The mean value of Visual Analogue Scores(VAS)and the Oswestry disability index(ODI)of every patient was observed before the treatment, after the treatment for 3 days,1 month,3 months and 6months to evaluate the efficacy of PKP in pain relief and promoting the quality of life.Measuring the anterior, posterior vertebral height and Cobb angle before the treatment, after the treatment for 3days,1 month,3 months,6 months to evaluate the efficacy of PKP in vertebral height restoration and postoperative loss conditiont.Measurements in the two groups before and after treatment in patients with bone mineral density changes 6 months later. All data were analyzed using SAS 9.2.Results:The mean VAS scores at 3 days post-operation were compared with pre-operation significantly lower, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);ODI scores were compared with pre-operation significantly lower, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The anterior, rear vertebral body height and Cobb angle, treatment of 3 days1 month 3months 6months post-operation were compared with pre-operation significantly improved(P < 0.05).BMD were significantly increased in both groups after treatment with risedronate, the differences between the two groups have statistical significance in June. Conclusion:PKP is one obvious effect of treatments for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures of the small kind of trauma treatment,in the short term can quickly relieve pain and improve patient quality of life of patients. With risedronate therapy is effective treatment and prevention of osteoporosis vertebral fractures. |
