| OBJECTIVE:To investigate the application of fixation on the anterior abdominal wall at the end of the shunt tube in ventricularperitoneal shunt for communicating hydrocephalus if can reduce the complications and improve the efficacy postoperative.METHODS: Retrospective analysis was performed on the efficacy and complications for whether fixation on the anterior abdominal wall at the end of the shunt tube in ventricular-peritoneal shunt in 125 cases of communicating hydrocephalus ventriculo-peritoneal shunt from January 2013 to September 2017 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guilin and the Second Affiliated Hospital of our medical college.Impact;Patients were divided into a fixed group(A group)and a non-fixed group(B group)according to whether the shunt was fixed in the abdominal peritoneum.Patients were followed up for 3 months to 36 months. Results: The blocking rate of A group was 3.4%(2/59),and the blocking rate of B group was 13.6%(9/66).The postoperative blocking rate of A group was significantly lower than that of B group(χ2=4.075,P= 0.044);The postoperative infection rates in group A and B were 1.7%(1/59)and 10.6%(7/66),respectively.There was a statistically significant difference between group A and group B(χ2=4.129,P=0.042).In group B,the rate of postoperative shunt release was 0(0%)and 1(1.5%),respectively.There was no significant difference between groups(χ2=0.901,P=0.342).The effective rate in group A was 94.9%.The effective rate was 78.8%,and the difference between the groups in effection was statistically significant(χ2=6.895,P=0.009).Conclusion: The application of fixation on the anterior abdominal wall at the end of the shunt tube in ventricularperitoneal shunt for communicating hydrocephalus can significantly improve the therapeutic effect of hydrocephalus and effectively reduce the abdominal complications;and the operation is simple, does not increase the operation time of patients, and is worthy of clinical application. |
