Objective : By comparing the recurrent rate of atrial fibrillation with cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation, and analyzing the factors associated with postoperative recurrence,it provides a reference for the selection of atrial fibrillation ablation therapy and prediction of postoperative recurrence. Methods : A total of 57 patients who had undergone atrial fibrillation ablation for the first time at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from May 2017 to October 2017 were collected.Among them,26 patients were treated with Cryoballoon Ablation(CBA)(7 cases of persistent atrial fibrillation,26.92%),and 31 patients treated with radiofrequency catheter ablation(RFCA)during the same period(9 cases of persistent atrial fibrillation,29.03%).Followed up for 6 months. The immediate success rate, operation time, and postoperative recurrence of the two groups of patients were compared. The recurrence was defined as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter,or atrial tachycardia that lasted more than 30 s and was recorded on an electrocardiogram outside the blank period 3 months after atrial fibrillation.According to the recurrence and no recurrence grouping, the relative parameters between the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results:All 57 patients were followed up successfully(26 cases in CBA group and 31 cases in RFCA group). The instantaneous success rate of pulmonary vein isolation in CBA group was 100%,and the average operation time was 85.20±26.51 min.In the follow-up period of 6 months,7 cases had recurrence(7/26,26.92%).Compared with the RFCA group in the same period, there was no significant difference in baseline data between the two groups. In the RFCA group, the instantaneous success rate of pulmonary vein isolation was 99.19%,and the average operation time was 108.50±30.75 min. After follow-up for 6 months,7 cases had recurrence(7/31,22.58%).There was no significant difference in the success rate of pulmonary vein isolation between the two groups and the recurrence rate after 6 months(P>0.05).The operation time of CBA group was shorter than that of RFCA group(P<0.05).According to the recurrence and no recurrence group analysis, the left atrial diameter in the recurrent group was larger than that in the no recurrence group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the increase in left atrial diameter was a major factor for recurrence after atrial fibrillation ablation(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)There was no significant difference in recurrence rate between cryoballoon ablation and radiofrequency ablation after 6 months;(2)Operative time of cryoablation is shorter than that of radiofrequency ablation;(3)Increased left atrial diameter is associated with postoperative recurrence of atrial fibrillation and is a major factor in the recurrence of atrial fibrillation.
