| Objectives:There are many common pathophysiological processes between patients with chronic heart failure and sarcopenia.People with heart failure have more serious muscle wasting than their peers. This study evaluated the muscle mass of patients with heart failure compared with healthy people of the same age by FFMI.Analysis the influence of muscle mass on the quality of life of patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)and the correlation of the indexes of severity of CHF,such as Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)、Left ventricular end diastolic(LVED)、 BNP.Methods:This study selected patients with heart failure in the First Hospital of Jilin University from October 2017 to the end of December 2017.A total of 204 eligible patients were included in the experimental group. The average age was 64 ±11.There were 124 males.(60%).A total of 204 patients were in the control group, including 126 males(61%)and an average age of 63±9 years. Most of these patients were classified at NYHA grade III-IV(96%).The primary cause of heart failure was due to ischemic cardiomyopathy in 102 cases(50%),followed by dilated cardiomyopathy in 37 cases(18%),cardiomyopathy in 36 cases(18%),and valvular heart disease in 13 cases.(6%),Others such as congenital heart disease, pulmonary heart disease,Heart Amyloidosis and so on a total of 16 cases(8%).The average FFMI in the experimental group was 17.27±1.35 kg/m2,the average FFMI in the control group was 18.40±1.58 kg/m2,the average BMI in the experimental group was 21.86±3.13 kg/m2,and the average BMI in the control group was 22.47±3.43 kg/ /m2;between the two groups,BMI difference was not statistically significant,CHF group compared with the control group FFMI difference was statistically significant(17.27 ±1.35kg/m2 vs.18.40±1.58kg/m2).Results:The FFMI value of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group;the difference was statistically significant. The average FFMI was divided into two groups. The high FFMI group had lower BNP and lower quality of life than the low FFMI group. The BMI and EF values were higher than the low FFMI group.Among them,BNP and BMI were statistically significant.FFMI values were positively correlated with BMI and negatively correlated with BNP;whether the events occurred at follow-up for 3 months were classified into event group and non-event group.FFMI in event group was significantly lower than that in non-event group, and the difference was statistically significant.Risk factors for the occurrence of events included FFMI,quality of life scores,BNP,and BMI.Binary logistic regression analysis of risk factors was used.FFMI and BNP were independent risk factors for patient events.Conclusion:1.Compared with healthy adults of the same age, patients with heart failure have lower FFMI values;2.There is a certain correlation between FFMI and BNP and BMI;3.The quality of life scores of re-admission or death patients at 3 months were higher than those who did not re-admission;4.FFMI was an independent risk factor for hospital admission and death at 3 months. |
