| Objective:To summarize the technology of negative pressure wound therapy(NPWT)in the clinical application experience of chronic refractory wounds. Methods:The clinical data of 35 patients with chronic refractory wounds, including 15 cases of bedsore,5 cases of necrotizing fasciitis,11 cases of diabetic ulcer, and other types of chronic refractory wounds in 4 cases, treated in our hospital from September 2015 to November 2016 were analyzed. To sum up the problems and measures in the treatment of patients with NPWT,to compare the changes of bacteria-fungi and wound volume or area before and after treatment, and to count the number of negative pressure treatment, the healing condition and the total hospitalization days of each patient. Results:After NPWT treatment, all the wounds were treated with obvious effect, clean wound, rapid granulation tissue formation, and the number of wound dressing decreased. The time taken for appearance of healthy granulation tissue had a mean value of 11.26±3.01 days. The time taken for complete healing of wounds had a mean of 35.67±12.98 days. The difference of wound volume or area before and after NPWT treatment was evaluated by Paired ’t’-test.The results showed that there was significant difference in wound surface before and after intervention(p=0.00).After using 2-8 NPWT,the wound granulation tissue is fresh and the wound culture has no bacteria-fungus growth. Then the wound was repaired with skin graft or flap transfer, and the wound healed completely.During the treatment,no obvious complication occurred in the wound. Conclusion:After the treatment provides the wound bed,the wound bed can often be repaired with a simple method. So NPWT is very important in the treatment of chronic refractory wounds. |
