Objectives:Objective investigate the correlation between leukocytetelomere lengthof peripheral blood and drug abuse behavior in heroin or methamphetamine addicts, and compare with normal population, study whether there is premature aging in drug addicts. Methods:The subjects were Yunnan people aged 20-60.The experimental group for 174 cases of drug abusers(all male),including 85 cases of heroin abusers, methamphetamine abusers in 89 cases, are from Yunnan Province in 2017 fifth forced isolation treatment under the jurisdiction of the voluntary survey of drug addicts. In the control group,53 healthy subjects(all male)were recruited from the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University. After extracting DNA from peripheral blood leukocytes, the relative length of telomere in peripheral blood leukocytes was measured by QPCR technique.Results:1.cases of drug abuse were divided into heroin abuse group, methamphetamine abuse group and healthy group.Age and telomere length in each group was negatively correlated(P<0.05).2.,telomere length of peripheral leukocytes in drug addictswas not correlated with marital status, nationalityandabuse mode(P>0.05).3.heroin group, methamphetamine group and healthy group were divided into three groups according to age,and there was no difference between age groups(P>0.05).The telomere length of heroin group and methamphetamine group was shorter than that of the healthy group(P<0.05).3.after correcting age,the telomere length of peripheral blood leukocytes in drug addicts was negatively correlated with drug time(P<0.05).4.heroin and methamphetamine affect the telomere length of peripheral blood leukocytes in addicts(P<0.05).5.the correlation test between the telomere length and relapse frequency of peripheral blood leukocytes in drug addicts was tested only in group 0:1-3,0:>9 in the 31-4 year old group, and there was statistical difference in group 0:1-3(P<0.05)in group 41-50 years old(P<0.05),and there was no statistical significance in the other groups(P>0.05).6.multivariate linear regression analysis, the telomere length of peripheral blood leukocytes in heroin addicts=3.895-0.051*time-0.037*age,and the telomere length of peripheral blood leukocytes in the drug addicts =5.832-0.094*age-0.046*drug time.Conclusions:1.the abuse of heroin or misuse of methamphetamine can cause telomere injury in the peripheral blood of heroin or methamphetamine addicts, and the length of telomere is shorter than that of the healthy population of the same age group.2.,the telomere length of peripheral blood leukocytes in drug addicts is inversely proportional to the duration of drug use, that is,telomere length is shortened with the growth of drug abuse years.3.after excluding other factors, the telomere length of the same age group was shorter than that of the methamphetamine group, and the effect of heroin on the telomere length was greater than that of the heroin on the telomere length.4.the relationship between the telomere length and relapse number of peripheral blood leukocyte in drug addicts was only 0:1-3,0:>9 in the 31-40 year old group, and the group 0:1-3 in the 41-50 year old group had statistical significance.,there is a need for subsequent expansion of the sample size to verify.
