Background and purpose: To explore the correlation between preoperative cervical curvature and clinical outcomes after cervical expansive door-open laminoplasty in cervical ossification of the longitudinal ligament patients.Research methods:From October 2015 to December 2016,clinical data of the 29 cervical ossification of the longitudinal ligament patients undergoing expansive laminoplasty in the 1st Orthopedic ward in Shengjing Hospital of China medical university.Measure the cervical curvature index(CCI)and cervical spine angle(CSA)with preoperative X-ray.Measure and calculate the preoperative Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)score,post-operative JOA score and nerve function recovery rate.Calculate the preoperative and the post-operative visual analog scale(VAS)and their subtraction. Results:There was a significant difference between postoperative and preoperative JOA score(P < 0.05).There was a significant difference between postoperative and preoperative VAS score(P < 0.05).There was no significant correlation between the preoperative cervical curvature and clinical outcomes. Conclusion:Nerve function of cervical ossification of the longitudinal ligament patients with preoperative bad cervical curvature can be improved after expansive laminoplasty.Bad CCI and CSA is not a contraindication of expansive laminoplasty for OPLL. |
