Objective: To investigated the relationship of Lp-PLA2 level with anterior and posterior circulation infarct and the neurological impairment of acute ischemic stroke. To analyze the change of Lp-PLA2 level at early stage ischemic. Methods: The case group was included 115 patients with acute ischemic stroke of atherosclerotic as the test group. The control group was consisted of90 patients without vascular disease. This were to detect the serum Lp-PLA2 levels by particle enchanced immunoturbidimetic assay.Results:1.The concentration of serum Lp-PLA2: the Lp-PLA2 level of in the case group were significantly higher than the control group, which had statistically significant;2.Multi-variables analysis showed: there was compared with the case group and the control group,in which serum Lp-PLA2 level was positively correlated with acute cerebral infarction,(OR=1.445,95%CI=1.203-1.615);3.The neurological impairment of acute ischemic stroke: According to the NIHSS score, the subjects were divided into 3 groups: mild stroke group, moderate stroke group, and severe stroke group. There was no significant difference in serum Lp-PLA2 level between mild stroke group and healthy control group. The levels of Lp-PLA2 in severe stroke group and moderate stroke group were significant higher than in the mild stroke group. There was a statistically significant difference in serum Lp-PLA2 level between the severe stroke group and moderate stroke group;4.The Spearman correlation analysis: The correlation coefficient betweenthe severity of acute ischemic stroke and serum Lp-PLA2 concentration was0.58;5.The differences of anterior and posterior circulation infarct: the patients of case group were divided into anterior circulation infarct(ACI)group and posterior circulation infarct(PCI)group. But the Lp-PLA2 levels were not statistically different between the two groups.Conclusion:1.The serum Lp-PLA2 levels in patients with acute ischemic stroke of atherosclerotic were sinificantly elevated. This may provide evidence for the characteristic serological factors of the acute ischemic stroke.2.The serum Lp-PLA2 leves was positively correlated with the neurological impairment of acute ischemic stroke. It can help to estimate the worsening of illness.3.The serum Lp-PLA2 levels were not significantly different between the anterior and posterior circulation infarct. The suggesting that it is no significant correlation between Lp-PLA2 and intracerebral infarction.
