Efficacy Of Nerve Block Method In The Treatment Of Herpes Zoster Neuralgia

ObjectiveBy compare the herpes zoster clinical pathway method,herpes zoster clinical pathway combined with nerve block method for clinical efficacy of herpes zoster neuralgia,to investigate the efficacy of nerve block therapy on herpes zoster neuralgia and the prevention effect of postherpetic neuralgia,in order to find a better clinical treatment.MethodsThe clinical data of 288 patients with herpes zoster neuralgia admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from August 2014 to June 2016 were collected for retrospective analysis.We use SPSS.17.0 software for statistical analysis and to evaluate clinical efficacy.Results1.There were no significant difference in the gender,age,onset time and the NRS score of pretreatment between the A,B two groups.2.Compared with pretreatment,the NRS scores decreased after 1 week,2 weeks,4 weeks,and 3 months after treatment in both groups.The NRS scores of group B patients were significantly lower than group A at all timepoints,the differences were considered statistically significant.3.The total effective rate in group B(98.61%)was better than group A(79.86%),it is obviously that the PHN rate in group B(1.39%)was lower than group A(20.14%),the differences were considered statistically significant.4.The average hospital stay and the average cost of hospitalization in group B were slightly higher than group A.The ratio of drug cost of group B is lower than group A.The differences were considered statistically significant.The higher cost of group B was due to the fact that group A patients were mostly treated with drugs,the cycle of nerve block method is longer,the relevant examinations before treatment need to accomplished and nerve block technique adds a extra expense.ConclusionNerve block method can significantly relieve pain in patients with herpes zoster neuralgia,and have a more significant preventive effect on PHN.The treatment effect is exact,although the treatment costs are higher on the surface and the hospital stay is longer,it can reduce retreatment and costs in the long run.Therefore,the nerve block method combine with clinical pathway deserve clinical promotion.
