Study On Related Behaviors That AIDS Combined Infection With Hepatitis B Among College Students In Chongqing On Protection Motivation Theory

Objective: The high mortality of AIDS and the high morbidity of Hepatitis B make these two infectious diseases a major global public health problem.Since they have similar route of transmission,that makes it possible to be infected AIDS combined with Hepatitis B.The rate of AIDS combined infection with Hepatitis B in college students is high so they should be the focus of prevention intervention.Based on the protection motivation theory,this study explore the impact of social demographic characteristics,the protective motivation and knowledge of HIV/HBV on related behaviors,for providing practical basis and reference for the targeted intervention on HIV/HBV.Methods: From September 2016 to Match 2017,surveys were conducted among five universities in Chongqing by way of multistage stratified cluster random sampling,and two or three classes were randomly selected from each grade of the five universities for questionnaire survey.The questionnaire includes social demography variable,protectivemotivation variable,knowledge of HIV/HBV and the related behavior variable.The data was analyzed by chi-square,Kruskal-Wallis test,Ordinal Logistic Regression and so on.Results: The university student in Chongqing are between 17 to 24 years old,the medium is 20 years old.The medium score of severity,self-efficiency and reaction efficiency are higher than 2.5 point,and susceptibility and internal rewards are lower than 2.5 point.The medium score of HIV /HBV knowledge in Chongqing university students is 19 point.120 people are in the lower score group,accounting for 8.76%.781 people are in the medium group,accounting for 57.01%;469 people are in the higher group,accounting for 34.23%.The average score of related behaviors was(1.83±1.97)point and the medium level was 1 point.In recent year,the proportions of people who have sex with others,use a condom every time,share a toothbrush or personal item with others,has not been vaccinated Hepatitis B vaccination,sell blood in informal way,have sex with a temporary partner,refuse treatment when medical facilities are disinfected are 22.48%,8.18%,21.61%,5.84%,1.09%,3.43% and81.02%.The results of Ordinal Logistic Regression showed that the introduction of PMT can improve the goodness of fit of it,and the accuracy of the prediction also has a certain increase.The results are as follows:The demographic characteristics that affect related behaviors include school,gender and maternal culture;Knowledge score had no effect on relatedbehaviors;There was a closer relation between the related behaviors with internal benefits(OR:2.140,95%Cl:0.545-0.977),self-efficiency(OR:1.301,95%Cl:0.413-0.773),reaction efficiency(OR:1.809,95%Cl:0.078-0.448)and the reaction cost(OR:1.418,95%Cl:0.180-0.518).Conclusion: College students are at high risk of HIV/HBV infection,they are prone to high-risk behaviors.The social demographic characteristics and protective motivation have effect on related behaviors in college students,while the knowledge of HIV/HBV has no directly effect on it.There is a separation of knowledge and practice.Therefore,we should not only carry on the corresponding health education and behavior intervention,but also we need pay more attention on psychological intervention for maximizing the protection motivation,in order to achieve the purpose of preventing AIDS combined infection with Hepatitis B.
