| Objective:To compare outcome and long-term complications for FIGO stage IIB cervical cancer patients received radical hysterectomy after neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with supplementary therapy versus concurrent chemoradiation. Methods : Retrospectively reviewed the medical records of FIGO stage IIB cervical carcinoma patients from February 2011 to April 2014 in First affiliated hospital of Chongqing Medical University.A total of the data of 121 patients underwent radical hysterectomy after neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with supplementary therapy(NACT+RH group),There were 85 patients received concurrent chemoradiation(CCRT group).Long-term complications(Radioactive enteritis,Radioactive cystitis,Lower limb lymph-Edema)、progression-free survivals(PFS)and overall survivals(OS)were compared between the two groups. Results:There were less long-term complications in NACT+RH thanthose in CCRT group(P=0.002).Five year PFS were similar in both groups(84.87% vs 84.71% respectively),and there was no statistically significant difference in disease-free survival curve(Log-rank,P = 0.701).Five-year OS 89.10% vs 84.94% were observed for the NACT+RH group and CCRT group, and there was also no statistically significant difference between the two groups(Log-rank,P=0.565).Conclusion:Disease-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)of NACT+RH group has not been improved significantly compared to CCRT group.Radioactive cystitis and enteritis of the former is less than the latter, but the incidence of lower limb edema is higher than the latter. |
