ObjectiveTo investigate the situation of occupational well-being of nurses in comprehensive three-level A-rate hospital in Qingdao,and analyze the influencing factors.The study of demographic data and the influence of emotional labor on occupational well-being of nurses in comprehensive three-level A-rate hospital in Qingdao,and to provide a theoretical basis for nursing managers to improve the occupational well-being of nurses.MethodsA convenient sampling method was used in this study to select 1290 nurses from 4 comprehensive three-level A-rate hospital in Qingdao.The instruments used for this study were general information questionnaire,Occupational Well-being Questionnaire,Emotional Labor Scale.The data were analyzed by SPSS17.0.The demographic data of nurses were descriptively analyzed using frequency and composition ratios.The median(M)and interquartile range(Q_U-Q_L)were used to statistically describe the scores of occupational well-being and emotional labor of nurses;Rank sum test and simple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of occupational well-being of nurses.Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between nurses’emotional labor and.occupational well-being.Multiple stepwise regression was used to analyze the effect of occupational well-being on emotional labor.Results1.A total of 1290 valid questionnaires were collected,and the effective recovery rate was 92.14%.According to the scores from high to low,the dimensions were relationship harmony,self-efficacy,self-fulfillment,organizational identification,treatment and development prospects,work family conflict.2.There was a statistically significant difference in occupational well-being between different gender,age,education level,job title,working life,monthly income,department,employment nature and overtime work(P<0.05).3.Simple linear regression results showed that the title,working years and overtime conditions are into the regression equation(P<0.05),which were the factors affecting the occupational well-being of nurses.4.The scores of nurses’emotional labor among 3 dimensions were ranked at a descending order as follow:deep acting,emotional expression requirements and surface acting.There was a positive relationship between deep acting and occupational well-being while there was a negative relationship between surface acting and occupational well-being(P<0.01).Furthermore,nurses with high occupational well-being were more likely to take deep acting during their work(P<0.05).Conclusion1.The overall level of nurses’occupational well-being in 4 comprehensive three-level A-rate hospitals in Qingdao is in the upper middle level,such as"relational harmony"scored highest,but"work family conflict"scored lowest.2.We found that 3 variables:professional title,working years and overtime conditions are associated with occupational well-being.3.Emotional labor is the influencing factor of occupational well-being of nurses.There is a positive relationship between deep acting and nurses’occupational well-being.While there is a negative relationship between surface acting and nurses’occupational well-being.That is,in the workplace are good at the use of the deep play of the nurses,their nurses’occupational well-being are higher.
