| Objective: Efficacy analysis of surgical treatment of multi-segment lumbar spinal stenosis with EMG abnormality,to provide a reference for the identification of surgical evidence. Methods: In 2013-2016,there were 40 patients with multi-segment lumbar spinal stenosis in our department. There were 24 males and 16 females, aged 55-81 years, with an average duration of 5.99 ± 1.91 years.Among them,20 cases had abnormal EMG,that is experimental group. In the experimental group, the amplitude was reduced and H-reflex doesn’t shows to A group, the nerve conduction velocity slowed down to B group;the other 20 patients EMG report is normal, namely the control group. All patients were operated on the same procedure. The patients’ age, length of hospital stay, operation time, postoperative drainage volume, preoperative and postoperative VAS score and ODI score, postoperative Fischgrund evaluation. Results: The experimental group was significantly older than the control group with longer hospital stay, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in operative time(P> 0.05).The drainage volume of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS and ODI scores between the two groups before operation(P> 0.05).The scores of VAS and ODI in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group(P <0.05).There were significant differences in Fischgrund scores between the experimental group and the control group(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in preoperative VAS and ODI score between group A and group B(P> 0.05),while there was significant difference between VAS and ODI score after operation(P <0.05).A group of Fischgrund evaluation slightly higher than the B group.Conclusion:(1)When confirmed in patients with simultaneous multi-segment lumbar spinal stenosis and EMG abnormalities, the poor surgical treatment, perioperative complications caused by a higher risk.(Experimental group compared with the control group)(2)When the EMG amplitude decreases or H-reflex doesn’t show in patients prompted nerve root lesions, surgery is still a valuable treatment;slow nerve conduction velocity, suggesting that nerve root lesions were severe or combined with peripheral nerve injury, surgery Curative effect is poor, should be combined with the severity of the disease, carefully consider whether the surgical treatment(A group and B group comparison). |
