| Objective:To assess the risk factors, cognitive function, depression and sleep quality of patients with different degrees of leukoaraiosisMethods:78 patients were included in this study who received MRI examination in the Department of Neurology, the Fourth Hospital of China Medical University from September 2017 to January 2018,including 41 males and 37 females. The average age of the patients was 62.92 ± 9.72 years and SPSS19.0 was used to establish a database and complete statistical analysis.(1)The clinical data of the patients were collected.According to the Fazekas grading scale, the patients were divided into non leukoaraiosis, mild leukoaraiosis, moderate leukoaraiosis and severe leukoaraiosis.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risks of leukoaraiosis and the severity of leukoaraiosis.(2)The patients were assessed by cognitive scales and depression scales and the sleep quality scale.Comparison of scale scores among different groups of leukoaraiosis was made to determine whether the severity of leukoaraiosis was associated with cognitive dysfunction, sleep disorders and depressionResults:(1)78 patients were divided into different groups according to Fazekas standards on brain MRI,of which 17 were non leukoaraiosis, mild leukoaraiosis were19,moderate leukoaraiosis were 22,and severe leukoaraiosis were 20.There was significant difference in age,low density lipoprotein and homocysteine among patients with different degrees of leukoaraiosis. There was correlation between the occurrence of leukoaraiosis and age(r=0.252,P=0.026),and uric acid(r=0.242,P=0.034).Logistic regression analysis showed that age was an independent risk factor of leukoaraiosis.(2)Nonparametric test analysis showed differences that the cognitive function scale(MMSE,Moc A and the severity of leukoaraiosis. The more severe leukoaraiosis is,the lower the score of MMSE and Moc A is.Sleep quality rating scale(PSQI)and depression rating scale(SAS,SDS,PHQ9)were not correlation with leukoaraiosis.Conclusion:(1)The risk factors of the leukoaraiosis are age, homocysteine and uric acid, while age is an independent risk factor for leukoaraiosis.(2)There is a decline in cognitive function in patients with leukoaraiosis, but depression and the sleep quality of patients are not related. |
