| Cervical cancer is a common female reproductive system malignancy.The incidence rate in our country is increasing by years.This review introduced and summarized the application progress of three-dimensional intracavitary brachytherapy in the treatment of cervical cancer.Including the development history of three-dimensional intracavitary brachytherapy,the application of modern imaging technology guidance such as CT,MRI,PET-CT,and ultrasound,the optimization of treatment plan,the dose assessment of three-dimensional intracavitary brachytherapy loading,and other developments.The development of source types,the selection and comparison of types of radioactive sources,and the use of brachytherapy techniques in combination with Intracavitary/Interstitial brachytherapy.Focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of different imaging modes for three-dimensional intracavitary brachytherapy changes in reference points,dose assessment in the target area,and evaluation of the dose of organs that are endangered.The remaining questions to ba answered in three-dimensional brachytherapy for cervical cancer patients are discussedat the last part of this review. |
