Objective: Iodine is one of the main raw materials for the synthesis of thyroid hormones,and is closely related to thyroid function.Meanwhile,thyroid function is also closely related to liver and kidney function.Epidemiological investigation shows that the incidence of thyroid related diseases and thyroid related liver function injury is on the rise.But whether these changes are related to iodine intake,we need further research.As a coastal area,Qingdao has relatively high iodine content in drinking water and seafood,including the atmosphere.The purpose of this study is to study the trend of urinary iodine and thyroid function in Qingdao,and to further reveal the interaction between iodine and thyroid function.Methods: The physical examination data collected from HIS system study of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University,basic information subjects(including name,gender,age)and determination of urinary iodine and thyroid function,thyroid autoantibodies,liver and kidney function,cholesterol and triglyceride index into Excel form.A total of 1558 people were finally included,of which 795 were male and 763 were female,The ratio of male to female is 1.05:1,and the age is 16-94 years old.The physical examination population was from the permanent residents and the employees in enterprises and institutions of each District or City in Qingdao.By using SPSS 17.0 software and Empowerstats software for statistical analysis.SPSS 17.0 Statistical Methods :The measurement data is expressed as mean ± standard deviation((?)± S).The skewness distribution data are expressed as by median and four point distance.SPSS analysis of variance,Spearman correlation analysis,and so on,there were statistical differences in P< 0.05.Empowerstats Methods: the study population included Empowerstats statistical description,smooth curve fitting,multiple regression equation.Results: In the study group,the median of urine iodine was 134 ug/L in male and 108 ug/L in female,and the level of urine iodine was significantly higher in male patients than those in women,and the difference was statistically significant.The median of TGAB antibody in male physical examination was 17 IU/ML,and the median of TGAB in female physical examination was 23.5 IU/ML.The median of TPOAB antibody in male physical examination was 16.2 IU/ML,and the median TPOAB antibody in female physical examination was 18.2 IU/ML.The average TSH level of male physical examination was 2.4 u IU/ML,and the average TSH level of female physical examination was 2.6 u IU/ML.The average FT3 level of male physical examination was 5.3 pmol/L,and the average FT3 level of female physical examination was 4.9 pmol/L.The average FT4 level of male physical examination was 17.2 pmol/L,and the average FT4 level of female physical examination was 16.5 pmol/L.In both the normal thyroid antibody titer group and the thyroid related antibody titer group,both male and female examiners had higher levels of urinary iodine,and the urinary iodine was negatively correlated with TSH,FT3 and TPOAB.The titer of TPO antibody was less than 34 IU/ML.Before 750 ug/L,the level of urine iodine was negatively correlated with the level of TGAB.After 750 ug/L,there was a positive correlation between urine iodine and TGAB titer;and the level of urine iodine was negatively correlated with the level of TGAB in male physical examination.TPO antibody titer is less than 34 IU/ML components,male urine and female physical examination urine iodine level is positively correlated with FT4.The titer of TPO antibody was greater than that of 34 IU/ML.The level of urine iodine was positively correlated with the level of FT4,and the level of urine iodine was negatively correlated with the level of FT4 in the female examiners.Conclusion: 1.The level of iodine nutrition in the study population is at the level of iodine nutrition.2.Iodine may have a double effect on thyroid function,and and iodine may have differences between men and women in thyroid function.When the TPOAB titer is less than 34 IU/ML,the female population urine iodine before 750 ug/L,iodine may have the protective effect to the thyroid gland,after 750 ug/L,the iodine may have the injury function to the thyroid gland;the male population iodine has the main protective effect to the thyroid gland.3.Elevated levels of pure urinary iodine do not immediately cause impairment of thyroid function.
