| Objective: To compare the changes of wavefront aberrations in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR)with different degrees of dry eye and to explore the reasons of visual quality decline in patients with diabetic retinopathy with dry eye.Methods: Randomly selected The First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University for treatment of diabetic retinopathy of varying degrees of dry eye patients 40 cases,40 cases of normal control group.Topcon KR-1W visual quality analyzer was used to record the mean square the total high order corneal aberration,spherical aberration,comatic aberration and trefoil aberration of cornea with pupil diameters of 4mm and 6mm.Analysis of Variance were used to compare the wavefront aberrations and the aberration values with the control group in patients with diabetic retinopathy of different degrees of dry eye.Results: For 4 mm Pupil diameter,the total high-order aberrations(tHOA)was 0.141 ± 0.036 in the nondiabetic retinopathy(NDR)dry eye group,0.161±0.036 in the nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)dry eye group and 0.251±0.065 in the proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR)dry eye group,It was 0.093±0.016 in normal control;The spherical aberration(SA)was0.051±0.014 in the NDR dry eye group,0.061±0.021 in the NPDR dry eye group and 0.078±0.018 in the PDR dry eye group,It was 0.046±0.018 in normal control;The Comatic Aberration(coma)was0.229±0.037 in the NDR dry eye group,0.236±0.040 in the NPDR dry eye group and 0.341±0.051 in the PDR dry eye group,It was 0.153±0.022 in normal control;The trefoil aberration(trefoil)was0.081±0.012 in the NDR dry eye group,0.104±0.031 in the NPDR dry eye group and 0.161±0.044 in the PDR dry eye group,It was 0.045±0.016 in normal control.For 6 mm Pupil diameter,the tHOA was 0.394±0.055 in the NDR dry eye group,0.417±0.053 in the NPDR dry eye group and0.582±0.081 in the PDR dry eye group,It was 0.326±0.020 in normal control;The coma was0.255±0.036 in the NDR dry eye group,0.275±0.050 in the NPDR dry eye group and 0.319±0.055 in the PDR dry eye group,It was 0.246±0.045 in normal control;The trefoil was 0.229±0.037 in the NDR dry eye group,0.236±0.040 in the NPDR dry eye group and 0.341±0.051 in the PDR dry eye group,It was 0.153±0.022 in normal control.For 4mm and 6mm pupil diameters,NDR dry eye group,NPDR dry eye and PDR dry eye group were significantly increased in tHOA,coma and trefoil compared with the contrast group(P<0.01),and PDR dry eye group were significantly higher than NDR group and NPDR group of dry eye in tHOA,SA,coma and trefoil(P<0.01).Conclusion: Dry eye of diabetic retinopathy with different degrees is closely related to the increase of wavefront aberration.Increased wavefront aberration may be one of the reasons to reduce the visual quality of patients with diabetic retinopathy with dry eye,and provide the basis for the decline of dry eye function of diabetic. |
