The Value Of Protein-chip Combined With PPD Test In The Diagnosis Of Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of Protein-chip combined with PPD test(purified protein derivative)for pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods:A total of 157 patients who did teset of Protein-chip combined with PPD were selected and divided into pulmonary tuberculosis group and non-tuberculosis group.Retrospective analysis was performed to observe the sensitivity、specificity、agreement rate、Youden’ index、positive likelihood ratio、negaitve likelihood ratio of this two test methods respectively.We also observe the sensitiity and specificity of Protein-chip combined with PPD,and evaluate the diagnostic value of two test methods in pulmonary tuberculosis.Results:The sensitivity、specificity、agreement rate、Youden’ index、positive likelihood ratio、negaitve likelihood ratio of Protein-chip and PPD were 61.1%、85.9%、74.5%、0.47、4.33、0.45 and 33.3%、83.5%、60.5%、0.17、2.02、0.80 respectively.The corresponding sensitivity and specificity of Protein-chip associated with PPD test’s parallel and serial test were 80.6%、74.1% and 13.9%、95.3% respectively.Conclusion:The diagnostic value of Protein-chip is superior to the PPD in pulmonary tuberculosis,their parallel test can improve diagnostic sensitivity,their serial test canimprove diagnostic specificity.Protein-chip combined with PPD is much superior to either one of them,which has a high clinical diagnostic value.
