Objective:1.To explore the correlation between the thickness of proximal femoral cortex and the severity of intertrochanteric fracture.2.To explore the correlation between bone density and the severity of intertrochanteric fractures.3.To study the correlation between cortical thickness and bone density, the correlation between cortical thickness and age and the correlation between bone density and age。Methods:Collected from June 2015 to December 2017,the elderly patients was diagnosedwith intertrochanteric fracture of low energy injury in Shanxi DaYi hospital.doctor used PACS system and inpatient medical records management system to retrieve patients’hip joint CT digital imaging data and bone mineral density and other basic data. The Evans-Jenson fracture classification of each patient was obtained. The typeⅠA and typeⅠB are mild fractures, typeⅡA and typeⅡB are moderate fractures, and the typeⅢis severe fracture. The CT images for three consecutive times repeated measurement at the bottom of the contralateral femoral, the backbone width, medullary cavity width respectively be carry on the rank correlation coefficient(introclass correlation coefficient ICC)inspection reliability,The backbone width of C1 was obtained after calculating the mean width of each patient, and the C2 was obtained after calculating the mean width of the medullary cavity of each patient.cortical thickness C0 is equal to C1 minus C2.Then Logistic regression analysis was performed on the severity of fracture and cortical thickness and bone density T numerical value.Spearman correlation analysis was performed on cortical thickness and bone density,as well as age and bone density.Pearson correlation analysis was performed on cortical thickness and age. Results:In the experiment,88 patients who met the inclusion criteria were collected, and the reliability of C1 and C2 obtained from three repeated measurements was 0.997,0.998,95%confidence interval concentration. After Logistic regression analysis,P<0.05 of the cortical thickness was statistically significant, the OR=7.495,suggesting that there was a significant negative correlation between cortical thickness and fracture severity,The greater the thickness of the proximal femoral cortex, the less severe the fracture. In the correlation analysis of bone density and fracture severity,P<0.05,and the OR value is equal to 0.151,which can be considered as a negative correlation between bone density and the severity of intertrochanteric fractures. After the Spearman correlation analysis between bone mineral density and cortical thickness,P<0.05,the correlation coefficient is 0.331,which can be considered as a positive correlation between bone density and cortical thickness, there is no correlation between cortical thickness and age, while bone mineral density and age have no relation as well as。Conclusion:1.There was a significant negative correlation between the thickness of proximal femoral cortex and the severity of intertrochanteric fracture.2.There was a negative correlation between bone density and the severity of intertrochanteric fractures.3.There was a positive correlation between cortical thickness and bone density.4.There was no significant correlation between cortical thickness and age,and there was no significant correlation between bone density and age.
