External Use Of Yiqi Tongluo Treatment In Hand-Foot Syndrome Caused By Capecitabine:A Clinical Study

Objective:To observe the curative effect and safety of the immersion therapy of Chinese drug in the treatment of hand-foot syndrome induced by Capecitabine.Methods:46 cancer patients who received the chemotherapy of capecitabine were divided into the immersion group and the controlled group.In immersion group,23 patients received the immersion therapy of Chinese drug during the chemo.The patients in controlled group only received the chemotherapy with capecitabine.The Ding tong zhu yu decoctum which is created by professor huangting consists of huang qi、gui zhi、chuan xiong、hong hua and some other herbs.Finally,to evaluate the effection and safety in the incidence rates of the HFS and its related adverse between this two groups systematically.Result:The immersion therapy of Chinese drug could reduce the incidence of HFS,especially during the later cycles of the chemo,which shows a significant difference contrast with the controlled group(P<0.05).In the immersion group,chemotherapy circle was rarely delayed,diminished or canceled,the difference between these two groups was also obviously(P<0.05);the safety of drug is good.Conclusion:By applying the immersion therapy of Chinese drug to the chemotherapy,the incidence of HFS and its related adverse events can be diminished remarkably than single chemotherapy.the immersion therapy can improve the life quality of patients,and its safety is good.
