Combination Therapy Of Biliary Stent And¹²⁵I Seed Intracavity Irradiation In Treating Hilar Colangiocarcinoma: Analasis Of Clinical Outcomes

Objective To discuss the clinical different effects of biliary stent combining ¹²⁵I seed intracavity irradiation and single biliary stent in treating malignant obstructiv-e jaundice caused by hilar cholangiocarcinoma.Method 79 patients of hilar cholangiocarcinoma who had undergone percutaneous biliary stent placement were divided into treatment group and control group dep-ending on whether they implanted ¹²⁵I seeds.Liver function,tumor size,stent p-atency time,and survival time of patients before and after therapy were included in statistic analysis to find out whether there were statistic difference.Result Comparing the reducing value of liver function test in 3 and 6 months p-ostoperatively to 1 month after the therapy,differences are statistically significan-t（P<0.05）;comparing the tumor size of 3 and 6 months post-operatively to that before the therapy,differences are also statistically significant（P<0.05）;compari-ng of stent patency time and survival time indicated a significant priority of tre-atment group to control group.Conclusion combination therapy of biliary stent and ¹²⁵I seed intracavity irradiati-on can not only reduces jaundice,also limits the growth of tumors,which demo-nstrates a significant superiority to single biliary stent placement in stent patency time and survival time.
