Studies Of Biological Activity And Chemical Composition Of Pterocarya Hupehensis And Piper Longum Linn

Pterocarya hupeheasis,a species of deciduous tree only found in China,is used as shade and protective tree usually.Research suggested that this plant has a great number of pharmacological activities,such as anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor,antimicrobial,anti-infection and so on.Piper longum Linn is a climbing vine which usually lives in the bushes at 580 meters above sea level.As a common analgesic and stomach-invigorating,it is used for abdominal pain caused by stomach cold,vomiting,angina and toothache.In recent years,studies have shown that it has activity of anti-tumor,antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.This paper tests the activity of antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor and antibacterial of 90%ethanol extract of Pterocarya hupehensis.After picking out the most active part,we use numbers of modern chromatographic separation methods,and six compounds was isolated.Spectral analysis and chemical methods was used to identify their structures.The research shows the possibility of Pterocarya hupehensis to be a natural antioxidant because of its outstanding antioxidant activity and low cell toxicity.This paper also did a research on the chemical constituents of the ethanol extract of Piper longum Linn.After using a large number of modern chromatographic separation methods,fifteen compounds were isolated and identified based on chemical method and spectral analysis.Among them,there are thirteen,amide alkaloids and two other compounds.
