| Backgroud:To compare the efficacy between super-mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy(SMP)and flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy(fURL)in patients with renal stones about 2.0 cm.Subjects and Methods:From May 2015 to October 2016,with strict inclusion criteria,100 patients with nephrolithiasis about 2cm who had received SMP or fURL in our center were analyzed retrospectively.SMP group(n=50):Male 36 cases,female 14 cases,respectively.The average age were 50.6±12.9 years.The mean stone size were 2.01 ± 0.30cm(1.5-2.5cm).fURL group(n=50):Male 37 cases,female 13 cases,respectively.The average age were 52.7 ± 13.7 years.The mean stone size were 1.93 ±0.31cm(1.5-2.5cm).Results:The preoperative rate of double-J stent placements in fURL group was significantly higher than that in SMP group(2.0 vs.16.0%,p=0.014).But the stone essence in fURL group was lower than in SMP group(1133.0 vs.892.8 Hu,p=0.020).There was no obvious difference between two groups in patients’demographics and preoperative clinical characteristics including mean age,BMI,gender make-up,hypertension and diabetes histories and situations of hydronephrosis.In the postoperative followup,less decrease in hemoglobin level(10.2 vs.7.33g/L,p=0.010)and longer operative time(50.7 vs.56.3 min,p=0.029)were observed in fURL group than in SMP group.But the SFRs of the postoperative 1st and 30th days in SMP group were both significantly higher than in fURL group(92.0 vs.78.0%,p=0.048;96.0 vs.84.0%,p=0.044,respectively).There were no substantial difference between the two groups in elevated level of white blood cell count(WBC),rates of fever,mean hospital stay,PVAS scores,stone compositions,and rates of SIRS(p>0.05).Conclusions:SMP appears to be a safe and effective procedure for the renal stones about 2cm with adventages including lower incidence of bleeding and complications,higher SFR and comfort postoperative and less hospital stay.SMP might be used as a complementary operation method for fURL. |
