Objective:Hypertension after Carotid endarterectomy(CEA)are associated with the complications of nervous and cardiovascular system. The purpose of this study was to investigate the blood pressure of eversion carotid endarterectomy(eCEA)and carotid endarterectomy with patch(pCEA)on perioperative. To evaluate the effect of two different surgical methods on postoperative blood pressure, and to guide the control of perioperative blood pressure.Method: Sixty patients with carotid artery stenosis were included in a prospective randomized controlled trial from January 2010 to January 2017.The patients were treated with two different surgical procedures(eCEA [30] /pCEA [30]).The high blood pressure was controlled by the antihypertensive drugs in patients,And statistical analysis of patients with general information, drugs, heart rate, complications, etc. Results: The general data of the two groups were similar,no statistically significant difference. There are fluctuations in blood pressure after operation in the two groups, need to give additional antihypertensive drugs to control blood pressure after surgery.Patients in the eCEA group were more likely to use antihypertensive drugs than those in the pCEA group for longer time.In the pCEA group, the use of antihypertensive drugs in patients after the first day of 8am-10 pm reached peak, and then showed a slow downward trend. In contrast,in the pCEA group, the use of antihypertensive drugs after surgery showed a sustained downward trend. After third days, the blood pressure was not controlled by additional antihypertensive drugs, blood pressure returned to preoperative level. While in group eCEA,some patients still require the antihypertensive drugs to control blood pressure. Conclusion: Both eCEA and pCEA are safe and effective surgical methods for the treatment of extracranial carotid artery stenosis, and there is no significant difference in the incidence of perioperative complications. There were obvious fluctuations in blood pressure after surgery.eCEA postoperative hypertension is more common than pCEA surgery, but the situation of blood pressure fluctuations in the short term can be restored.
