Clinical Observation Study Of Postherpetic Neuralgia Treatment

Background:Postherpetic neuralgia is a common sequela of herpes zoster,which refers to pain for more than one month,following acute herpes zoster infection.As the pathogenesis of postherpetic neuralgia is very complex,even drugs,physical therapy,nerve block,nerve damage and spinal cord stimulation have been used to treat PHN,a few patients still have poor effects.Drugs are the basis of PHN treatment,Anticonvulsant drug Pregabalin and weak opioid drug Tramadol are often used to treat PHN.WIRA can effectively alleviate the inflammatory reaction,reduce the secretion of pain causing factors,and relieve PHN pain.Medical ozonated autohemotherapy can also been used to treat PHN.This study is to evaluate the efficacy of the combination of drugs with WIRA or Medical ozonated autohemotherapy in the treatment of PHN.Objective:Evaluate the efficacy of the combination of drugs with WIRA or Medical ozonated autohemotherapy in the treatment of PHN.Methods:(1)There were 50 patients with postherpetic neuralgia were enrolled in Department of Pain Medicine,Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from October 2014 to December 2015.They were treated with pregabalin 75mg bid,Tramadol 50mg q12h,and accepted WRIA treatment.The changes of pain,sleep quality were observed before and 1,2,3 and 4 weeks after treatment,and observed the efficacy after the treatment,too.With the numerical rating scale(NRS)and 24 hours of continuous sleep time to evaluate their efficacy.The patients were further analyzed according to the different sex,age,course of disease and pre-treatment pain score.(2)There were 11 patients with postherpetic neuralgia were enrolled in the Department of Pain Medicine,Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2017 to May 2017.They were treated with pregabalin 75mg Bid,Tramadol 50mg ql2h,and accepted the ozone autohemotherapy treatment.The changes of pain,sleep quality were observed before and 1,2,3 and 4 weeks after treatment,and observed the efficacy after the treatment,too.With the numerical rating scale(NRS)and 24 hours of continuous sleep time to evaluate their efficacy.Results:(1)There was significant diffherence in NRS scores in the group which were treated with WRIA combined drugs after the treatment(P<0.05).NRS scores decreased with time compared with those before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the 24-hour sleep time of the group which were treated with WRIA combined drugs increased,there was statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the effective rate of treatment between the patients with different sex,age and pain before treatment(P>0.05).The effective rate of treatment was statistically different(P<0.05).(2)There was significant difference in NRS scores in the group which were treated with ozone autohemotherapy treatment combined drugs after the treatment(P<0.05).NRS scores decreased with time compared with those before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the 24-hour sleep time of the group which were treated with ozone autohemotherapy treatment combined drugs increased,there was statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)WIRA combines with pregabalin and tramadol treatment can effectively relieve pain,increase sleep time,is a safe and effective treatment.Short-course treatment of patients with higher efficiency than long-term patients,patients need early medical treatment.There was no significant difference in the effective rate of treatment between different sexes,age and pain before treatment.This combination is a better therapeutic effect of PHN treatment.(2)Ozone autohemotherapy treatment combines with pregabalin and tramadol can alleviate postherpetic neuralgia pain,significantly improve the quality of sleep in patients,increase sleep time,which has a better therapeutic effect of PHN treatment.
