| Epidemiological investigations and prospective studies were shown that sedentary behavior is the health risk factor of chronic non-communicable diseases,related to the occurrence of obesity,metabolic syndrome,cardiovascular disease and diabetes.The chronic damage to the body caused by sedentary behavior can not be eliminated with high intensity physical activity.Along with the development of society and advancement of technology in China,people’s lifestyle such as travel,work and entertainment ways has changed a lot,the sedentary behavior time per day is ever increasing.However,there are many research gaps in china,such as the sedentary behavior theory,the relationship between sedentary behavior and health,the sedentary behavior scale and so on.The study object of sedentary behavior is mainly focused on teenagers and children,less for adults.In order to provide evidence support for further sedentary behavior intervention,the sedentary behavior of adults as the object of this study,the intervention of sedentary behavior as the core of this study,the construction of sedentary behavior evaluation system as the breakthrough point,and applying the empirical research to explore the key influencing factors of adult sedentary behavior.ObjectiveFor the purpose of sedentary behavior intervention,this study will construct the evaluation and influencing factors index framework of adult sedentary behavior which provide an effective tool for evaluating the sedentary behavior of adults and its influencing factors.Based on this,work out the sedentary behavior questionnaire of adults.Investigate the status of sedentary behavior type,the sedentary behavior distribution and the sedentary behavior time and the key sedentary behavior influencing factors of adults by empirical research.And then,put forward the intervention measures.MethodsConstruct the evaluation and influencing factors index framework of adult sedentary behavior applying literature review and expert consultation methods.A method to stratify random sampling was used to extract 260 public servants of the Shanghai health and family planning commission for the current investigation.Use the statistical methods such as descriptive analysis,t test,variance analysis,non-parametric test and multiple linear regression to analytical data.Results1.Achievements in theoretical research(1)The optimal translation of sedentary behavior and the relative boundary value are determined.Has been clear about the best translation of "sedentary behavior" in our country.And reached an expert consensus that "6 hours" and "1 hour" are the total time boundary value of sedentary behavior and the time limit of single sedentary behavior respectively.(2)Formate the evaluation index framework of adult sedentary behavior.Construct the evaluation index framework of adult sedentary behavior,which include two primary indexes,seven secondary indicators and 44 three-level indicators.The primary indexes including the sedentary behavior evaluation and sedentary behavior influence factor evaluation.The secondary indicators including the sedentary behavior during travelling,the sedentary behavior during working,the sedentary behavior before screen and the other sedentary behavior.The three-level indicators including 44 indexes such as the time of working days to and from work,the time of weekend day to driving and so on.(3)Compiling a sedentary behavior questionnaire.The questionnaire about the sedentary behavior and its influencing factors of adults was prepared.2.Achievements of empirical research(1)The sedentary behavior time of the research subjects was higher than the average level in China.The sedentary behavior of the survey sample on average time per day is 683.0±142.6 minutes,include the sedentary behavior time during working is 318.9±79.4 minutes,the sedentary behavior time during travelling is 81.5±52.4 minutes,the sedentary behavior time before screen is 187.1±91.7 minutes(TV time is 65.5±59.9 minutes,use the computer time is 52.4±66.8 minutes,mobile phones time is 69.1±21.1 minutes),and the other sedentary behavior time is 95.5±52.3 minutes.(2)The research subject’s cognition degree of sedentary behavior is not high.There are only 0.8% of the respondents were well aware of the sedentary behavior,11.9% were understand well,34.0% were the general understanding,and 53.3% were unknown.(3)The factors that influence the sedentary behavior of adults are clarified.Including the cognitive level of the relationship between sedentary behavior and health,the attention to their health,the frequency of physical activity,the use of social software,the degree of interest in the electronic game,marital status,degree level,executive level,construction of work unit sports facilities,implementation of public health exercises,the distance between the living community and working unit,construction of public sports facilities in community,the publicity about the sedentary behavior of community medical institutions and the main content shared by social software friends.The total sedentary behavior time will be shorter when more clearly grasp the relation of sedentary behavior and health,the higher level of attention to their health,the lower usage of social software,the marital status for married,more complete of unit sports facilities,the better implement of public exercises,the better community public sports facilities construction,the more publicity for the sedentary behavior and share more health related content on the social software.Intervention Suggestions1.Suggestions for intervention from the macro level: First,Chinese health department should pay more attention to sedentary behaviors and increase the investment of basic research on sedentary behaviors.Second,the health department should make full use of the social organizations,extensive development of health education.Third,the health department should rely on the city planning to improve the public sports services.2.Suggestions for intervention from the meso level: First,the work unit managers should strengthen the consciousness of responsibility and implement the Public health exercise.the work unit managers should improve the construction of sports facilities and provide an actionable office environment.Third,the work unit managers should introduce the office platform which can reduce the sedentary behavior to improve the intervention effect.3.Suggestions for intervention from the micro level: First,the individuals should pay more attention to the health knowledge and establish a sense of responsibility.Second,the individuals should use the intelligent equipment to interrupt the sedentary behavior in time.Third,the individuals should cultivate the habit of exercise and improve the frequency of exercise. |
